First I would like to thank the Fair Appleapps in presenting challenges to those who like to test their powers of deduction, and stimulate their minds.

Ah, my friends to the quest. I present you with a new challenge. I think that you will need all your skills on this one. Good luck!

The paragraph below is most unusual. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so ordinary you'd think nothing was wrong with it - and in fact, nothing is wrong with it. It is unusual though. Why?

"Gatsby was walking back from a visit down in Branton Hill's manufacturing district on a Saturday night. A busy day's traffic had had its noisy run; and with not many folks in sight, His Honor got along without having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk; for a mayor out of City Hall is a shining mark for any politician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broadway's night shopping crowds. Gatsby, walking towards that group, saw a young girl, back toward him, just finishing a long, soulful oration ... "

And here I thought you had solved my challenge already. ;)

Oh crap man, I just re-read your post and I thought you said look at the photograph. No deductive reasoning there! (LOL)

OK, I'll look at the para-graph again. (LOL)

The PARA-graph (LOL) is completely written correctly, however the author used words that didn't have the letter "E" in it.

I should note also that this is just the first paragraph of a 50,000 word novel by Ernest Vincent Wright in which the letter "e" is never used.

You have answered correctly. I thought it might take you more time. LOL But then I should know better with you should'nt I? LOL

Then let us try this one:

Two brothers we are, great burdens we bear, all day we are bitterly pressed; Yet this I will say - we are full all the day, and empty when we go to rest. What are we?

Socks or Shoes

Good evening everyone! I am upset that I was late tonite, I knew the answer to that first one! :(

Oh well, I will wait for the next one because I think Sioux City Male got the second one also.

Congrats Sioux City Male!

Sorry for the delay. You are correct Fair One, Sioux City Male is correct, the answer is "shoes.

Perhaps this one may prove more of a challenge:

If you look, you can't see me. If you see me, you cannot see anything else. I can make you walk if you can't. Sometimes I speak the truth, and sometimes I lie. If I lie, I am nearer the truth. What am I?

Congratulations Fair Appleapps. You are correct. Here is another if you are up for it?

Not born, but from a Mother's body drawn, I hang until half of me is gone. I sleep in a cave until I grow old, then valued for my hardened gold. What am I?

Be there no takers for this simple challenge?

you lost me on this one,,,,, got a hint? :)

To give a clue would be difficult to do. But I will try, so do not cry, It may be something other than what you think of Mother.
