I only do cushy work. I am still waiting for the call.

You have the pex tools. Why did you decide to copper it, instead of buying the Pex fittings, and just pex it in instead?
he was unsure so went with what he knew
I see nothing wrong with that. No plumber here, but I would prefer copper at my house. Call me crazy.
all my pressure pipe is copper......
pex is in the gypcrete in the floors.....
ABS for drainage........
it all works.......
cushy!
I left you the link!
You new office furnishings look mighty comfy.
the almighty bagel had no clue
he says he didn't know how to put pex into a sweat shutoff or hot to pex a threaded shower valve
home depot didn't have threaded pex pieces.

Your Home Depot has pex parts? I want to move there. I have to special order the Pex parts from a plumbing supply house. Do you need help? I'm not cheap but I can get the job done and I can't play a video game to save my soul.
That's fair enough. But it is actually a pretty simple procedure.
I don't have a Home Depot right arond the corner. Plus they tend to suck ass here.
but I do have a Lowes and Mernards, and they both carry a wide assortment of Pex piping and fittings.
Interesting. THD here has everything in PEX from "eh" to "zed" ... Not having the need for the expansion tool (expensive!) on a regular basis, I'm like Bagel... good ol' sweating works just fine for this aged hoss.
Xander, howcum y'all don't get good service from the "Despot"? They've gone through one hell of a transition, here.... VERY bad management in the Nardelli years, but because Lowe's has come to Canada, are scrambling to return to the ethos espoused by the Founders.
I know how expensive the tools are. I use them almost every day.
I don't know what is up with Home Depot here. There's one about an hour south of me, and one about 45 minutes north of me.
Both have crappy service, and they NEVER everything ordered etc etc etc etc. So I've just stopped using them all together.
I got a Lowes and Mernards 10 minutes away from me, and I get nothing but good service at both places.
So Home Depot can go fuck themselves for all I care.![]()

My feeling is that the fields should be managed for maximum production, not for a quick buck, today.
I've heard that they are going back into the original 1910 oil fields in Titusville and Oil City, PA, and places like that and trying to get the rest of the oil out. These dead hillbilly communities are having a second oil boom.
I just surprised that the Home Depots carries the product line. Neither Vanguard or Uponor are homehowner install approved. I don't care who puts it in, it's just you won't be seeing seeing it here. HD does sell a tankless water heater though, without a single accessory, so you can't really install it. (bosch)
Everytime we install a water heater of any kind. We always take a peek inside the box to see why got everything we need. We didn't do it once. And by the time we got to the job, well out in the boonies. We were missing parts left and right. NEVER again.
Hey Xander, I bought this really cool sheet metal nibbler last week. It fits on a regular drill motor and can nibble up to 16 gauge stainless steel. No more cutting sheet metal by hand. Woo-hoo!
Someone is scabbin on the tinners, Pete.![]()

Hey now, I can't expect SP to take care of my sheet metal needs. Besides, I can take care of my own holes![]()
Ahhh. The aroma of burnt brushes.
