What 'nobody' had a straight edge?!
I had a welding teacher in college with a bad neck. Know how many times in an 8hr shift you snap your head forward to bring your shield down? I love the auto-darkening helmets. Have yet to see someone wear a shield hard hat combo. They look fucking cool.
Is that a plain visor too for grinding?

That's a supplied air respirator.
Sorry, looked it up. Just a wide screen visor. 3m product retails for damn near 6 bills.
If you're welding exotics, you might want one of these. 6 bills is cheap compared to not breathing.
Not a respirator.

But yes many metals are very nasty to weld. Heavy metal toxicity would be a shyte way to go.
Considering it is a welders primary piece of PPE 6 bills is quite acceptable.
If you don't pump clean air into that thing, it will fog up and you won't be able to see a damn thing.
"I hope the wind does not kick up."
Nobody will see the orange stripe after the drywall goes up.
Uh, oh.
If my eyes don't deceive me, that would appear to be an upside down 400-ton Komatsu ( Liebherr ?) hauler. That's really not a good idea. It is, in fact, a genuine problem.
The Land Cruiser guy is just sizing it up. I think he can use a pair of snatchum straps to pop her back upright.
Right. Piece of cake.

My old boss in sheet metal would price a job real fucking low and cross fingers for time and material jobs to make a profit.
Gotta be a better way to do a flat weld rather than turning it upside down
Fuck that. If I can't make money I don't want the job
