The Construction Thread

Whoa. That's awesome, but also makes my stomach want to leap out of my mouth. I liked the crane and windmill photo, too. I drove by a truck transporting a blade for one of those sumbitches - HUGE. And I like cranes. There are always so many of them downtown with all the new condos being built. I saw a big crane hoisting a littler crane once. I decided to take it as a metaphor and feel inspired.

Sorry, Rosco - I don't really have anything cool to add, but for some reason your threads just make me feel really chatty lately!

Meowza. It's pretty spectacular. I drove by a wind farm once and never even realized it was an army of giants.

That is righteous.

Most engineers in Canada wear rings. It's handy - I know right away whom to be friends with.

Ah, the wrought iron ring on the pinkie of the working hand. Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer. It's stainless in the US for members of the Order of the Engineer.

I've been told that the first rings in Canada were remelted from scrap material from the first Quebec Bridge disaster.

It's probably asking a lot of you, but could you also post some info related to each pic? These are truly incredible.

Look at what man can achieve!!!
