Jimmy awoke suddenly, blinking a few times as his eyes peered around the silent darkness of their bedroom. He felt around on the matress for a few seconds and noticed that Amy wasn't there next to him. He sat up and scanned the room.
Not there either... He stood up now and moved into the living room.
"Amy?" He called... he didnt hear her anywhere in the kitchen and couldnt see her moving about. He moved to the door and peeked out.

Cara was in the crowed seeing the priest pairing a couple and smiled thinking of when and if it would be her turn to be paired with such a man. After the work day being announced being over she went back to her lonely hut and laid down on her small bed and fell a sleep hoping that her day would come soon.

Jimmy was taking things roughly with the pregnancy... Between taking care of his pregnant wife... (yes he'd started calling her that in private)... all the talk about having to be "loaned out" to other women ... and at the same time trying to pull strings to let them keep their children... he was feeling pretty stressed out, which wasnt a factor that was helped when Abby told him to stay behind.
He was taken to the back room. After the last month he wasnt looking like such a gentle young boy, but rather like a hard working young man with a rugged exterior under which a gentle young boy still sat, running things for the most part.
He'd cut his hair for one thing, it was a bit shorter and he kept it back with a bandanna folded up into a headband. He had let a gotee grow on his chin and his hands had a callus or two. But he stll looked good, and his body had gotten a bit harder and a bit meatier with all the good eating and hard work.
"Right right... so lay it on me doc... how long do i have to live?" He said half jokingly... knowing full well that there was bad news lurking around somewhere behind Amy's eyes. But he also knew that she probaly didnt ask to be the bearer of it... and this was all the result of an unfair lot.
Of course, as soon as Amy burst out, he shut up. He wasnt sure how to follow that up. After all the community needed him.... just as much as Amy Needed him. He was absolutely certain that if he left her the poor girl might go crazy without him... and he loved her too much to see her like that.

Tears fell down her face, that was the straw that broke her back, she went back to the hut and began to pack everything, she decided to leave she refused to lose both of the loves in her life. Tears fell down her face she wrote a letter.
"Jimmy....I love you and im sure by the time im well again you will be happy with the new girl, so ive decided to leave, if nature takes my life so be it, but I refuse to be a vassal and not get any help...I refuse to be nothing to the priest I thought we actually mattered but we don't.."

"Whaddya mean dont tell her?! She's GOING to find out eventually anyways and when she does .... my god I dont even want to think about it..." He groaned and rubbed his forehead.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, It's not your fault... I didnt mean to blow up like that..." He felt sick to his stomach.
"The part that gets me is that I feel just as bad about this as everyone else does, amy included... the only reason why I'm not going to fight it is because I've always been taught that my needs are meaningless in the grand scheme of things... you can thank my Zen upbringing for that..." He sighed, his hands folded over his stomach. "If the community needed me to I'd gladly service every woman here... but when it came down to it, Amy would always be my first and my most beloved... Sex with the other women would be... well unenthusiastic... and Thats what scares and hurts me the most. Amy dosent trust me to stay loyal to her... even though I love her it's the one thing that bites me every time she brings all this up. I feel like a jerk when I try to convince her otherwise though...."

Cara nodded to the striking looking man and thanked him smiling and went back to see Abby. Abby had a very tired and worried look on her face and it worried her that there was something wrong with her and that she wouldn't be accepted. So she sat down in front of Abby with her hands placed neatly in her lap as she always does when she gets nervous. Smiling at Abby she begins the conversation by asking, "How may I be of help Abby."

Amy just nodded "Women are only used for one thing, once our "leader' gets what he wants he will force everything away from you" She turned and headed back she started to pack her things up she decided not to stay, she could lose one but not both loves in her life.

Cara smiled at Abby and took the pills and drank the juice as she was instructed and agreed that she would enjoy working in the medical hut and that she had a sure way to make sure all the women in the community would be 100% fertile at all times.
As Abby left the office to attend business unknown to her she sat herself in the from of the hunt making herself comfortable and waited for her new partner to come and get her or for Abby to come back and tell her were she should be.

Well he made it back to the hut in one peice... he strolled into the living room and looked around... Amy was gone... probably out somewhere... nothing to worry about... sleep... he needed to sleep.
He walked quietly over to the bed and flopped down, in less than a minute he was out like a light.
