i tell people that i write porn. i have pride in the fact that someone out there may ...just may find release or atleast a big fucken belly laugh at what i write. even my boss knows that i do it.

Next I mentioned that most of my recent work was about a vampire. And he rolled his eyes.

Then he mentioned that his wife had published an anthology of Canadian fantasy stories, and he was proud of her.

Luckily I managed to keep from saying, "Make up your mind about what's proper to write or not then, goofball."

As far as saying I'm a porn writer goes, I'm just cutting to the chase. If I say I'm a writer they'll ask what I write, which is mostly porn.

Plus I like them getting that soooo superior look on their faces. It amuses me.
