Lyria

She stood there almost more demon than a human. A low growl as the twisted and old priest stood before her.

The hunters continue to fail yet we were told to never use your kind again as weapons. They had so much faith in those human hunters but we know better now. We know we need weapons like you. Weapons that can wipe out the failures to perhaps motivate those who are like you. Or perhaps just remove the humans from your job once and for all.

He handed her a picture of a hunter and said only one thing... Boston.

she stared at the picture till it ignited in her hand turning to ashes in seconds as she turned to go. Another human to end another hunter to end.

In another part of the country in a well-hidden and long-forgotten bunker...

Another call... Another Hunter contacted Dean unable to reach Lyria. This time it was Jodi and she sounded frazzled in the voicemail.

Dean... It's bad here... We need Lyria... I know she took off for a while but we can't fight her pops alone. Hell, I'm not sure he is alone. With everything going on here in Myers Canyon this could be a damn family reunion. Get here find her something. Sam is helping the best he can but none of us can take them out as solidly as she can.

Cas sat staring at nothing trying to reach out for any kind of lead or blip on the radar that would give any clue where she was but even he wasn't getting anything. Not dead not live just vanished... It should be impossible.

Dean

He listened to the voicemail, he had just returned from a hunt and really needed to crash, but the message was three days old and Jodie wouldn't phone him if it wasn't desperate. He poured himself a glass of Whiskey, downed it, poured another, and drank a handful of tablets with it. It wasn't sleeping, but for now, it would have to do. He stocked up Baby and an hour later he was on his way to Myers Canyon, a cup of strong coffee in one hand and music playing to help him stay awake.

Hours later

The Impala came to a stop and Dean opened the door, getting out to stretch his back and hide a yawn. He rubbed his neck and closed the door, "Man, this is really off-grid." He made his way towards the house.

Bobby walked out with Jodi trying to catch him before he grabbed Dean's coat.

Tell me you found her Dean.

Cas got out of the car looking to Jodi shaking his head.

I will be the bearer of bad news. Not even I can find her Bobby. I have others out looking for her. What luck have you had identifying who you are up... Against...

That was when Lyria's hellhounds came limping in full view from the cabin and Jodi sighed.

They can't find her either but they have gotten confessions out of the possessed for us. It's her dad and he is anything but lustful right now.

Cas looked to Dean curious about that.

Sounds like no one can find her yet there is no sign of her being dead either.

Dean

He looked at them all a bit confused, "I know things are going rough, but damn. I just arrived here, drove all the way over and now you want to know if I got your angel who is in the wind?"

He turned to look at Cas, "And you sit around staring into the ether, and the moment I stop here you decide just conveniently to check out my car, just in case I brought an angel along."

Cas looked at him for a long moment, "It is good to see you, Dean."

Dean shook his head and heaved a sigh, "Yeah, same and if Lyria was dead, I am quite certain that it would be all over angel radio channel seven."

Cas frowned, "We don't have channels of broadcast."

Dean rolled his eyes and looked at Bobby, "You want to try that grab again Bobby? I don't know why you are pissed at me, I have been doing my job."

Bobby, I thought you said that they had been tagged by Lyria before.

Jodi looked confused.

Bonded to her from the connection?

Go get to sleep knothead. You do remember Lyria... You got tagged by her and fought her father and an ancient evil before and no telling what all you and Sammy got into while teamed up with her... Do you not remember any of that Dean?

Jodi chimed in the halfbreed your parent rescued and half the hunters in the country helped raise when she was little and you and Sam clearly slept with?

She is missing... Her hellhounds cant find her Cas can't find her but seems certain she is not deadso where is she we have the fallen of Lust here.

Another hunter leaned out the door.

Fallen of war the one Lyria called bloodbath confirmed in Tennessee.

"Of course, I remember Lyria, we got her grace back, but that doesn't mean that she's at my beck and call."

He walked up to Bobby and gave him a hug, then gave Jodi a hug as well, "So it's true, I heard rumors of hunters dropping off the radar and in many cases nothing found. Since we have no idea what is going on, the angels aren't any good, Fido can't track her down, have you thought of maybe ringing up Crowley and asking him if he knows anything?"

"He doesn't, or at least, not that he want to tell us about," Bobby interjected.

Dean ran a hand over his face, "Damnit, these halfbreeds will run roughshod over us. No offense Cas, but you don't have the juice to handle all of them."

"I am well aware of that Dean."

Dean turned to the car, got out his bag, and stifled a yawn, blinking his eyes, "Where do I bunk down?"

Bobby was looking at Dean as if the boy had lost his mind. Lyria was a halfbreed. There was never an issue of her having a grace to find. What could have happened to him? Cas was also confused by this but dismissed it for now.

Jodi perhaps a cup of the tea you made for Sam when he passed through. Perhaps her father has done something to everyone's memories.

Dean looked from Bobby to Jodi

"Tea? Really? You want ME to drink tea? Why don't you try to distill it and see if you can make a whisky?"

He held up his hand, "It's a joke Okay, give the tea and see if it makes you feel happy. Now, where do I bunk?"

The hunter stepped from the doorway, "Let me show you, you will like the tea."

Dean grimaced but followed the hunter anyway

The other hunters knew the tea it was Jodi's blend to help wound-up hunters sleep and calm their minds. Jodi looked at Cas and Bobby.

What the hell? Bobby almost didn't remember her till that fatherly instinct hit over a photo and now he doesn't remember someone who made his surly ass a lovesick pup? Crowley can't sense her... You can't sense her. She is not answering her phone and the hellhounds can't find her. All the while we are up to our eyeballs in at least two fallen and hunters going missing.

Cas nodded to the report and sighed.

We have also recently had another angel vanish.

Bobby piped up.

Vanished in dead host vanished or lost grace?

We suspect lost grace however Amira was always a tricky one to follow. Her orders were always... private like what you humans call...

Bobby nodded to Cas.

Top secret or classified got ya... Well, that ain't good. I am gonna go look for her...

No Bobby... Cas touched his shoulder knocking him out.

Dean needs you right now. With that Cas was gone and Jodi was draging Bobby back to the house.

Dean dropped his gear on the bed, it looked mighty inviting, but he knew that if he didn't drink the tea first, they'd just force him to drink it later. He turned to the other hunter and stuck out his hand, "Dean Winchester."

She took his hand and they shook, "Donna Witmore."

"How bad is it?"

She thought for a moment as they both made their way out of the room, "To be honest Dean, while not on the level of the Leviathans, this is really bad. We have been losing way too many hunters, supernatural beings have been falling from the radar."

"That doesn't sound so bad."

"All kinds Dean, good, evil, in between, they are all being eradicated. Even some of the minor gods have been killed."

"Let me guess, the ones who don't require human sacrifice and are the weakest of them all."

She nodded, "It's like a supernatural seek-and-destroy missile has been let loose and it is killing everything in its path."

"What does this have to do with Lyra?"

Donna gave him a sideways glance, "Lyria. Are you really that tired?"

Dean paused, "No, I mean I am tired, in fact, I am bushed. But now that I think about it, the more I try to focus on Lyria, the less I seem to remember, but on the way here, I knew about her."

"Seems like the two of you are bonded in a way."

Dean nodded, "You can say that."

The two of them entered the house, "Now what were you saying about Bloodbath earlier?"

He is the second fallen that we have been able to confirm is unbound and running around. Lyria's uncle. Just like it's her dad that is here. The fallen of lust.

One of the other Hunters handed him the tea.

Jodi said drink it.

Dean took the tea and sipped it, pulling a face

"Would it kill to add something that doesn't taste like medicine?"

The two just gave him a grin and he finished the cup, handing it back, "Now what? I start getting flashbacks?"

"Now you go to bed, we can catch you up tomorrow."

He nodded and yawned, "Should have had the tea before I saw the bed." He mumbled and left the house, heading for the room which was his.

Cas sat talking with Bobby and Jodi doing what he could to help. They talked about Dean's initial reaction to piecing it together that Lyris was missing. How Cas should be able to get something... Anything to give him a clue.

Bobby finished his beer and went for a walk. He had been one of the hunters who had helped raise Lyria so he could truly understand how those parents felt all those years when their kids had ended up crossing paths with any manner of creature and had ended up missing.

Dean woke up from a deep sleep, for a moment he realized that he felt better than he had in months, the aches and pains were less, he actually felt rested and he remembered why he wasn't in the bunker. It was about Lyria, the half-breed angel that he and Sam had "helped", the more he though about it, the more he remembered, which was the opposite of last night, the more he thought about it then, the less he remembered.

He got up, showered and dressed, making his way to the main house to get some coffee.

Cas studied his expression for a moment.

You seem better rested... Still, something is affecting your memories, isn't it?

Jodi listened for his answer as she was helping with breakfast and tending to the "night shift" hunters coming in for rest and healing.

Dean

He looked at Cass and took a sip of his coffee, "Yes, I feel better. But there is definitely something up, I can remember Lyria and that we had spent time together, but the rest seems fuzzy. But not as bad as last night when I didn't even remember her name. I have been thinking about it and it seems that the nearer I drove here, the less I remembered. Something is definitely up."

Just like Bobby.

Jodi spoke up.

Closer proximity to her dad maybe is strengthening their memories of her due to their shared closer connections.

Cas pondered that and vanished.

Eat some breakfast and you can patrol with me Dean.

Jodi looked over to him.

We will find her or she will find us and rebind her dad... Soon... I hope.

Dean fixed himself something to eat along with more coffee, he sat down and started to eat, "If that is the case, why can't I remember? Could it be that she is actively trying to block memories of herself to prevent herself from being found? Or could there be a different reason? Like she is not Lyria as we know her or that she is captured and what or whoever is holding her captive is trying to erase memories of her?"

"Or maybe you are just being a normal guy for once and forgetting her among the string of women you bedded," Bobby said from the doorway as he walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning to you to, I see you are still as ornery as always," Dean retorted, Bobby just grumped and fixed himself a cup of coffee.

Cas as always suddenly vanished as Jodi started thinking.

Well, it's not her dad or his minions that have her... I would assume since he seems to be on a less-than-lustful rampage. Being half demon Cas could she...

Jodi paused and shook her head.

He really needs to learn to say something before vanishing like that

"You never get used to it and it gets old very fast."

Dean finished his meal and cleared up the table, "Let's go, you can think about it on the way, something is very wrong. It may not be Sammy as Satan wrong, but still very wrong.

Bobby suddenly ran up looking from Dean to the Hellhounds like he was fighting to remember something.

A cabin... She did have a cabin... Away from everyone...

He looked to the hellhounds who had perked up a little at that heads tilted almost looking like slightly more normal dogs at least in behavior.

Jodi looked to Dean.

Do you remember her having a cabin?

Dean had the decency to look uncomfortable, even have a slight blush.

"Uh, yeah. She had a cabin over at Myers Canyon."

Bobby looked at Dean for a long moment, "Do we want to know?"

Dean shook his head, "No Bobby, you definitely do not want to know."

"Know what?" Jodi asked, Dean just cleared his throat, "Nothing."

Jodi looked confused, Bobby slightly flabergasted and Dean just picked up his car keys and walked towards the front door.

Well, let's get in the car let's go maybe we can find a clue as to what happened to her.

The hounds paused a moment then as if they remembered home as well took off running.

Maybe we should follow them?

Jodi shrugged.

"I am still curious as to why we can see them."

He got behind the wheel, started the engine, and drove after the hounds as soon as Jodie closed the door. He partly drove on memory and by following the glimpses of the hell hounds he could see as they bounded ahead of them.

"Do you have any idea when and where contact was lost with her?"

Bobby almost perked up a little more.

They were like that when they came and found me six weeks ago maybe longer. You don't think whatever is taking out hunters and supernatural got her do you?

Jodi quickly killed that fear.

Cas said she isn't dead Bobby remember? But yeah since you reached out to me they have been like this as long as I have known then and they have not been terrifying either
