The Bitch Thread

Ok, I finally figure out WTF my cycle is doing, it's taking a 9mo sabbatical while I get to gain weight and be uncomfortable. I have had NO period for 2 months, FINALLY the damned pee stick shows something, which means I'm not terribley far along. I go to the doc. They say, "Well because your LMP was 2mo ago we need to do a blood lab" So I go do it. I call the nurse hotline to find out when I get to do the pant and push thing and all they can say is "Congratulations!" Well FUCK I KNEW THAT SO WHEN AM I DUE YOU IDIOTS! ARGGGG!!! so now I get to wait until I can see a normal doctor about it. I hate not knowing shit about my body! Even better is I get to sit through another one of those boring seminars about "How the fetus progresses during pregnancy". I am NOT a 16yr old idiot that doesn't know how I got pregnant AND I did this less than 2 years ago now, I know how the baby grows and that I shouldn't drink and that I should eat well and excersice. But the hospital is closer than the last time so that will be more conveinient.

Congrats! And get used to the military medical system treating ya this way sweety. When I had my THIRD kid at 32 years of age I had to go to the labor and delivery class. The nurse told me I could probably give the damn thing but that hospital rules were I had to come to it to deliver my baby there.

Thanks guys! Growing up in the military hospital system I atleast know what to expect. I just want to know when I'm due, but I can't do my first appt until after I do this stooopid seminar. I don't mind the idea of doing the labor and delivery tour, but I see that as more of a hospital tour, I get to learn where I need to go, I get worried when I don't know where to go. I do really want to talk to a doc though, 1 to get a due date, and 2 I got a tetanus shot a couple weeks ago and I'm a little worried about it now that I know I'm pregnant. It's probably OK but I know tetanus is one of those "only if the need outweighs the risks" kinda things for pregnant women. Though I might actually take them up on the flu shot this year since I'm going back to school. The last thing I need this semester is to get sick, though I've never actually had the flu before. I'm hoping to keep even the back to school "crud" at bay. I bought little soaps for in my backpack JIC the bathroom is out of soap and I got little tissues too.

Annoying. Doesn't really make sense either to only let you see a doc after this seminar.

It's an Army CYA thing. they don't want a bunch of pregnant women bitching that "Well no one ever TOLD me that!" It's easy to cast blame when you don't "know" and it's easy not to "know" when you're not "told" so they're making sure everyone gets told. I'm hoping they're OB/GYN clinic isn't full of slow don't know how to book appointments idiots like Tripler was. When I was 36 weeks pregnant they were supposed to book the rest of my appointments in weekly succession all at one time so that I wouldn't get caught in the "well the next appointment we have is in 4 weeks" thing.....my doctor had to schedule me herself because they're booking people were ID-10T's. Yeah, I'm also hoping to actually get admitted into the midwife team so I can have a delivery without hearing "Tell her she needs an epidural, I can "feel" it with this one, it's going to be an emergency C-section" Pththththt. I did it all on my own faster than a first time pregnancy should have gone and without drugs (Ok, I did get a local anesthetic for the episiotomy, but I didn't want to feel my slit being made bigger....OUCHIE) Ok, so enough pregnancy bitching

I can't use those. My LMP was June 8...atleast that's the last time I know that it was my period and not just my "oops I missed a pill" bleeding. and I can't be 2mo pregnant, I've been doing peestick tests since the end of july. I'm guessing I'm between 4-6 weeks, but they need to do either hormone blood level tests or an ultrasound to tell how far I am.

Sure is!

Right now real estate is really high where we live. Many people we know are fixing up and selling their houses, to benefit from it before real estate takes an inevitable slump. My husband and I can't stand the idea of how much work that would be.

Just trying to help. Knowing the Army they're just going to ask you for your LMP too at first. @ The Army system

Chin up Etoile your one of the very special people who grace the Boards here. I have empathy for your being upset. I have seen you mediate here between others in a non selfserving and astute manner . You do not deserve to be treated in a way that would make you feel abused by anyone.

If your ever feeling firey over it remember karma ;) :rose:
Thank you so much. Keeping those words in mind does me good. :)

Happy Starry Shoyru! :D

Yay for tealsphynx! You do realize this deserves a thread of its own, right? I'm not going to post it because you might not want it to come to such broad attention yet, but still...we gotta have a Congratulations tealsphynx thread. :)

And my bitch for the night is...my father-in-law just came and took his cat back. Which is fine, because she's his, and we were only catsitting for six weeks. But I kinda got to like the little fluffy one. She wasn't real happy here, we have four other cats and she prefers to be an only cat, but...I did like her. Fortunately my in-laws only live three miles away, so I can visit anytime, but she won't be sleeping on my head anymore. It's good that my bitch for the night is so minor, but...well, I miss kitty already.

Kitty

A total non-sequitur: (probabaly because I'm home alone tonight) the cat you were relieved of reminds a lot of my daughter's (I would guess her to be your approximate age-she'll be 29 in a few weeks).

The cat's name is Kitty or more formally (like at the Vet's) S. Kitty (for shitty Kitty).

She's had the cat through college and three sequential boyfriends.
The cat has been a constant in her life.
I love that cat for that.

Excuse the offhand rambling on my quiet night.

Holy Shit

Litterally. We left the dog at home today, not expecting the car dealership to take all day (but we're thankful for they're efforts in getting me my new car :nana: ) Anyway, yeah so poor poochie was apperently a bit more than a little tummy upset today. My halway was COVERED in doggy runs. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Draggie was a gentleman and cleaned the solid parts of the mess and then when he got to gaggy I pulled out the mop and the bleach. It was soooooooooo nasty, I think I will be having nightmares about dog shit now.

BTW everyone Thanks for the congratulations and the suggestions!!
CutieMouse- The only premise I have about belieiving I'm about 5 weeks was from the last pregnancy. I was about 5.5 weeks along by the time the at home test showed it. Thanks for the heads up though!

So I woke up this morning with a headache. A sticky-weather go-away-only-with-coffee-and-shower-and-then-maybe headache. And guess what?
No electricity!

Which of course meant no coffee, and no shower (I don't like those to be all cold). It also meant no internet. Thank god the power was back after half an hour. I don't think I've ever been as happy to hear the fridge working before.
