I'll stick with straight coffee in the morning. Preferably Jamacian Blue when I can afford it. ($45 a pound *eeck*) ;)

Same here... that stuff is awesome! I knew there had to be someone here who understood my addiction.

I've tried to work out a carpool with someone in her school - no one is interested.

And since Miss working more means more money for me - I figured it was in my best interest to help her out. Besides she's done it for me.

*nods* I gotcha.

How frusterating. I've been where you are.

You know - baking soda will keep out ants, I wonder what it would do for fleas? Like if you put it all over the carpet and stuff.

It's an idea.

Seven dust? We used to use that a long time ago but I don't have carpets I have hardwoods which I love!

Cause coffee is nasty? But flavored coffee is nasty, too. I'd switch to tea if I were you.

Ha! I don't love coffee but I like it.

I put four sugars and two creams in my coffee! He he he!

At coffee shops I always say, "Yes of course I want whipped cream!"

On work days I use Cafe' Vienna decaf with sugar and lots of milk. The nice warmth feels so good on my sore throat.

Oh and the other thing about caffeinated coffee which I rarely have is that on trips it keeps everything moving smoothly if ya know what I mean.

I've always wondered about acquired tastes. Why bother acquiring them?

How about for the sake of argument, variety is the spice of life?

Not only did I have to clean up to have a supply teacher in, but she tidied up my desk. Now I can't find things.

That's terrible!

I'm so sorry to hear it!

I'm totally with you here. Like beer - WHY? Especially when their's so many better tasting things out there.

Because one likes to try things?

Killian's red is my thing or Hogarten! Great with sandwiches and pizza! Woot!

I hate colds too! It is really hard to deep-throat if you can't breathe to begin with.

Um, okay ask away!

Oh yeah if you can't breathe through your nose that is bad!

You are definitely in the thick of battle with the flea thing. Our dog just disgusted my daughter by finding a dead squirrel and laying it at her feet... she was grossed out but could handle that. Then the idiot licked her face! That was it!

He couldn't understand what he'd done wrong...

Poor things! *L*

Once I had a cat lay a live snake at my feet when I was getting out of my car!

Eek!

Never tried it but I LOVE to try things. Around here around here we love Godiva Créme Brulèe, when we both are drinking the stuff. It's 10 oz. $12.50 but he gets it as gifts usually from family.

I'm going to do a quick hijack here.

Red Sonja, since you live in SD you might understand this question. What spices are good for Bison meatloaf? I normally use garlic, onion, and black pepper.

My mom had to have massive oral surgery (she has advanced periodontal disease) and she was really sick afterward. She was in bed for a week. Our cat caught a couple of mouses and regurgitated them on my mom's bed.

We're pretty sure she was just trying to take care of mom. She also didn't know why mom was so pissed.

Those are great! Most everything that works with beef works with Bison. I love the stuff. And here, I can get lean ground buffalo for less than I'd pay for beef... about $3.25lb.

You might try marjoram, or for a southwest flavor add some cumin, and cilantro.

Thank you. I hesitated to try sage, since it tastes nothing like pork.

Hi - you were in my classroom Monday. Where did you put all my shit?
Don't think so.
It was a nice thing to do - but I apparently have a totally different organizational scheme from her. So nothing is where it should be.
It's all there I guess - just in really wierd places, and I don't have time to look.

What is this supposed to mean? I'm on Tylenol 3.
Is it pee, or water?
Do you have some objection to water?
I have to say I'm against pee, but not water.
I drink lots of it. It's healthy.

I hate colds!
Don't get me started. I get panic attacks. My trigger is a stuffed up nose. It's stupid, I know, but if I can't breath through my nose, I start to go over the edge.

Oh, I have Xanax for it, but they never give me enough of it. So, I try not to take any, just in case I can talk myself out of it. I can, a lot of the time, because I know it's a stupid mental thing. But, there are those times, late at night, when there isn't anybody to talk to, that I just have to take a pill. Then, I usually take a drive until the pill starts to work. I guess the drive keeps my mind sufficently occupied until the Xanax starts to calm me down.

So, the one and only thing I'm really affraid of is the common cold. The flu doesn't bother me. I can handle a fever...the chills the sweats...that's nothing. And, I've never had the stomach flu in my whole life. I guess I'm not susseptable to it. I've had food posioning and such, but never a flu of that sort.

The common cold is so common, most people consider it just a fact of life and have no quams about going to work and infecting the rest of their co-workers. And, bosses don't have any problem with near forcing their workers to come to work...after all, iti's just a cold.

Where I work, I see men leaving the bathroom every fucking day without washing their hands. And these are guys that are suit wearing executive types that when they greet you, what do they do? They shake your hand. Come on, guys, take a little pride in your personal higiene and think of your fellow man. Wash your fucking hands after using the bathroom!

I'm sure women are the same way. There's one or two in every crowd. You just don't know who they are, because cameras aren't allowed in public bathrooms. Well, maybe they should be. It would help a lot in stopping possible germs from being transferred from person to person in the work place.

And, where were some of you brought up, anyway? Cover your mouth when you sneeze. And, then, remember that hand should be washed before you touch the doorknob, coffee pot, someone else's computer keyboard and mouse and their telephone. Am I getting through to any of you?

Call me a germafobe if you want. I really don't care. You won't be catching anything from me, though. And, if any of you spent a week or two in my shoes when I have a cold, maybe you'd begin to understand. The common cold is just a little too common, if you ask me.

So, yes, amasterfound, I understand completely. I have the first cold I've had in almost four years. But, I've found that Zicam seems to work pretty well in keeping my nose clear and all of the other symptoms contained. And, I've only had to take two Xanax in the past week. I think I might actually survive this one.

When I was small my desk at home was always a mess (still is). And sometimes my grandma would spend a week with us. And because everyone went to work in the mornings, she occupied herself cleaning and cooking and such. And she tidied my desk. I could never find anything again, even though I knew in the mess where things where. Took me a couple of visits to get her to leave my room alone. And tidying myself before, so there wouldn't be a temptation.

Ok, I have had the worst day of all bad days.

First I had to take my friend to the doctors (she's disabled and has trouble getting around). I dropped her off and was parking, and hit another car. So I called K and he told me that as soon as I dropped my friend home that I needed to go hom and call the insurance company. So I did, and got home to find out my water had been turned off. I called the water company, sat on hold for 20 minutes, only to find out that they want all of the money I owe them. (About 1900 dollars - I'll explain how that happened later.) So then I spent 20 minutes on the phone with the insurance company and another 20 minutes with welfare trying to get help. Then I got off, and ran K's sandwich to him (cause he'd forgotten his lunch box). On the way there I had a bus push me into another lane, and a big black truck.

I should never have gotten out of bed today. :(

(As promised - when we first moved into this house - about three years ago - the water company and the sewer company were two different company's, but I didn't know that. I thought when I paid my water bill that I was also paying my sewer bill. They didn't inform me that I was wrong for 2 1/2 years - by then I owed them a lot of money. Then the sewer company bought out the water company (who I didn't owe anything to) and got the power to turn off water. We worked out a payment plan, but they want $250 a month. I don't have it.)

ok, well while we're bitching i would like to say BEING SICK SUCKS ASS!!!! i've had a cold for a couple of days now and all i want to do is sleep. the only problem with sleeping off a cold is it's impossible to sleep for a week straight. i can't breathe, my nose is running like a fucking faucet and to top it all off my cat wants more attention right now than he has ever wanted in his entire little life. i keep trying to put him in the floor, but he keeps jumping back in my lap. i just got done doing my nails and if he messes them up i'm having chinese for dinner and he's the main course!!!!!!!!! grrrr

Graceanne,

I'm so sorry that is the worst day I've heard of in a long time.

Oh I didn't. But only cause no one else was in the other lane. The bus was switching lanes and evidently didn't care that I was right next to it. I had to move into the other lane to keep from being hit.
