As seen on the Fox network Bill O'Reilly's interview this evening, Michael Moore can't even differentiate between a lie and bad intelligence reports. Even when faced with the facts he still refused to admit that it was in fact he who lied. This is someone Dems look up to?

That is the main problem with the far left . . . not being able to face the truth & reality. And to carry that further the mainstream democrats buy into it rather than think for themselves. They would rather be told what to do than do their own research. And do you really think that the general public believes that after months of Bush bashing that all of a sudden that it probably isn't a good idea to do that "for the DNC". Too late . . . because of all, and I mean all, of the fence sitters I knew 6 months ago have already made up their mind that no matter who the democrats put up to run, they will not vote for them because of all the blind hate that has been shown by that party.

Today, there is an insidious war taking place in front of our eyes. Sadly, many are not hearing the sound of destruction, nor seeing the signs of decay. Many slumber as our country is in the middle of a great fight for its soul. With subtle movement, bit by bit, the gift given us by our Founding Fathers is slowly being taken away, with hardly a murmur from Americans that are lulled into complacency. An awakening is desperately needed.

As the national election is starting to heat up, uncontrollable, seething anger from Democrats and much of national media, appears to have gone beyond hating our president, to loathing and damaging our patriotic will. This unprecedented hate expressed, leads one to question why? If discerning, looking past political rhetoric and spin, one discovers that this raw emotion has more to do with future vision of our country, then with personal conflict. At a crossroad comes understanding that over numerous years, a march has taken place towards this national moment. Will we remain a nation that clings to freedom, or will we become like our European cousins, embedded in socialism?

Battle lines drawn as Democrats select a leader that will present America’s future in which socialism permeates their campaign. Republicans for the most part, provides the voter with a vision that allows individual freedoms to prevail.

Decisions need prioritizing asking what is of value. Will the voter look at the need for tax relief, moral clarity, American military supremacy for national security, as well as protection of 2nd amendment. Or will they desire the “anything goes” morality, UN taking the lead in US military action required, tax increase with class-warfare overtone, and more strident government controls, programs and regulations? Which leads to the question, if acceptance of Democrat’s socialism, what is the cost?

With any war, tactics and strategies are needed, for victory to be accomplished. It is obvious to many, which political party has used dishonesty, propaganda, distortions, and obstruction on a regular basis. For the Democrat Party such approach has been a norm for years, with vile attacks supported in the news frequently.

The Democrat initiated fight that brought Vietnam War to the forefront again in such a disgraceful manner, may finally be fought and won. However, we cannot lose sight of the real battle, the battle for our nation’s soul, its cherished freedom.

Americans called to this moment in history, persevere with diligence against those who determine to harm us. We must not allow the surrendering of our rights that were fought for with such sacrifice. For the blood of all who gave their life, must not be in vain. As the election draws closer, Americans must hold to the words, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness..."

Which begs the question once more, if acceptance of Democrat’s socialism, what is the cost? Remembering that socialism has always failed.

Courtney Love sentenced to rehab

LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Making her first public appearance since being hospitalized as a fugitive two weeks ago, rocker Courtney Love was sentenced Tuesday to mandatory drug treatment in one of four criminal cases against her.

"I've got to stop drinking. It's gonna be fun," the 40-year-old widow of grunge rock star Kurt Cobain told a mob of reporters outside the Los Angeles courthouse following the brief proceeding. "It's profound, it's deep."

Judge Patricia Schnegg ordered Love to enroll in a court-approved rehabilitation program for the duration of an 18-month probation, during which the performer must submit to random drug tests and engage in substance abuse counseling.

If she successfully completes the program and abides by the terms of her probation, Love will be spared any jail time and have her conviction in the case removed from her record.

Love pleaded guilty in May to a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of cocaine, stemming from her arrest last October 2 outside the Los Angeles home of her former manager and boyfriend, where police said she was found breaking windows in the middle of the night.

Hours later, Love was treated at a local hospital for what police described as a "medical emergency" in an incident that led to separate felony charges of illegal possession of the prescription painkiller OxyContin.

She faces a Beverly Hills court hearing on the possession charge on Thursday and an arraignment in Los Angeles next month on yet another case, felony assault charges arising from a fight she had with another woman in April. Love also has been charged with reckless endangerment in New York related to a Manhattan nightclub incident.

Although Love was given until October 29 to enroll in a rehab program, her lawyer, Michael Rosenstein, told reporters his client has been sober and undergoing drug treatment since shortly after her hospitalization in New York on July 9.

A Los Angeles judge that day issued an arrest warrant for Love when she failed to appear for a hearing in the assault case, rejecting Rosenstein's explanation that Love had been confused about whether her presence was required.

Hours later, Love was carried handcuffed on a stretcher from her Manhattan apartment and taken to Bellevue Hospital Center, where according to Rosenstein she was admitted for treatment of an unspecified gynecological problem. She began drug rehab there and was later moved to a hospital in Connecticut to continue her treatment, he said.

North Dakota Records Several New Bigfoot Sightings

March 3, 2004 NEW TOWN, North Dakota - Several people on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation have reported seeing a Bigfoot-type creature in recent weeks.

Paul Danks, natural resources administrator for the Three Affiliated Tribes, said he has marked the sites of reports on a map in his office.

Tribal spokeswoman Glenda Embry said reported sightings have come in both the New Town and Mandaree areas.

''People south of New Town said they'd seen basically, I guess. . . Bigfoot,'' Danks said. Tribal officials said they took pictures of tracks, but found nothing conclusive. It is not the first reported sighting of a mysterious big creature in North Dakota. In 1962, a hunter reported that he was stalked by a great ape just outside a mobile home park in Minot.

It is sad that you cannot see your countries future, other than in four year, partisan terms. Your nations soul has been fighting this battle forever.
The rights intolerance of "common human decency"socialistic aims of the left, makes for a very intolerant, selfish capitalist society.
Rightists see things only in dollars and cents but human decency and quality of life are equally important in a balanced society.

I think you misrepresent where "democrat" hatred and loathing is directed. While the GOP is the figurehead, it is the Neocon hijacking of the traditional Republican party that has created such vehemence for the lies and illegal actions they have perpetrated in the name of the GOP. Just sack the lot and start again.

Isn't this a classic example of Republican capitalism in action?

Tell a wild story to get people going, then sit back and rake in the cash as the inquisitive come to seek the truth. It as win/win situation. The liars get richer and the lookers feel involved in the mystery.

True there are radicals on the right and Capitalism has been here no matter what party was in office. But I do agree with you Woody about sacking the lot and starting over. Too bad Nader is so radical he gets everybody mad at him. He really has some good ideas about how to fix a lot of the problems we have in our country. Whereas the Dems and Rebs just say something needs to be fixed but really, after they're in office usually never happens. there are of course a few exceptions.

Typically, when commenting on sentence style and usage, one uses sentences. Of course, typically, one doesn't uses spaces within those series of pesky dots, either.

Your rhetoric is tired, and characteristic of the far right. Neither end of the policitcal spectrum tends to function in an open-minded way.

You are good at cut and paste dialog; that's one point in your favor. It's not a new skill here, though, so it doesn't stand out nearly as much as the shrill sound of your desperation.

The topic? It's not a battle for any such thing, it's a power struggle between two very wealthy men who know nothing of how I live, and care less. It's political posturing, nothing more, and it's not new, let alone news.

Your take on it is indicative of having an uncritical view of how the system works, presumably because you're relatively young. Only the young see things in such utter black and white, when in fact what is being decided is all about shades of gray.

I'm not registered with either party, and in my day have voted for candidates from BOTH major parties as well as for Ed Clarke (who ran for president the same year we had a 4-way race, but you're not likely to recall that.) Why vote for Clarke, when it was clear the Libertarians had no chance? Because in the state I was in at the time the electoral votes were a foregone conclusion, and frankly the two party system has long-since ceased to be a useful means of selecting national officials.

It's not about souls; it's about MONEY, stupid.

It comes from a balance of power. A balancing act of those who would protect our freedoms by taking them away, and those who would do the same by allowing others to take them.

Your blind patriotic support of the present administration, the same type I might add that enveloped Germany in the 30's, is dangerous to us all, as is the extreme socialistic ideals of the extremist on the other side.

For me it's a choice of the frying pan or the fire. We as Americans need to protect our country, not by blind support of one side or the other, but by trying with all our might to keep this monstrous, monolithic gargoyle called government from going too far one way or the other. We must keep it from rolling off that razor's edge and crushing those things we cherish. That is the only way we will retain those freedoms we have.

To paraphrase a great quote, There are plainly those who love America, but can't stand Americans. Look to your left, then glance to your right. They're waiting, waiting to force their idea of freedom onto you. The only way to protect yourself is to play one side against the other, to keep things in balance.

Well, Kerry scares me, Nader will never make it, and I'm not real happy with everything Bush has done but I believe Bush is a better leader than either of the other two will be ever be. Nope I'm not a fence sitter at all. I really do look at the records and listen to all the candidates
 
The country is tired of war, tired of the daily terror threats that never happen, tired of soldiers dying, and tired of draft dodging 'patriots'. At this point I don't want to argue with conservatives anymore - Bush has six more months and then he'll be history.

Dude, he is a capitalist with a little bit of heart, it is tokenism. Dont be confused, there is little difference between them despite their rhetoric.
It is my view that Americans are played like a fiddle to the tune of the rich and either election result will make no real difference overall. But the people need to feel they have a choice. Both candidate have sold their souls before their name goes on the list.

This isnt anti American sentiment, much the same happens in my own country.
