Sr,
SEVEN?! Holy crow! Thanks for your explanation. I can see where it might be safer and more lucrative. But confuzzling as well! How do you keep them all straight: espeically when it comes to readers/fans/feedback? So, does anyone know the true you?
In the mainstream, most comment doesn't come direct. It comes through your publisher or agent.
In e-booked erotica--and postings to other story Web sites--I do have some trouble. I think there's a similar thread around here somewhere on the confusing of e-mails, but, as all e-mailed response comes into one e-mail account, I sometimes have to wonder or ask which work/author someone is commenting on if they don't identify it off the top.
No real problem in my different writing accounts here on Lit. All of the accounts and e-mail accounts are separate. I just sometimes don't check the ones other than the sr71plt one here very often and get some of the comments/quetions quite belatedly.
I don't have any trouble remembering what author is writing what. The genre of what is being written automatically connects it to the pen name. In the straight areas, one author writes cozies and romances and sticks to novellas; another one writes historical dramas in full novel length; yet another writes espionage thrillers. Not too hard to keep those separate.
