Your typical "out to lunch" posting. Scouries has been referring to this alt of Freddie's as Susie Q ever since it was rolled out. The "most prolific author" reference is, of course, a play on what Freddie himself claims, even though he's not even in the top ten of prolific authors on the listing the Web site recently established on the "Author Index" main page. (I think he makes that claim on the basis of lumping together the output of all of his many alts--which probably would flip him up to the top-ten list.)

Everyone can have the scores, if they want them.

Anyone can look up an authors page and see what their story score is.

I say this so people know that there is no conspiracy here, the numbers are around for anyone who wants to invest some time.

However, note only one asshole puts them up publicly for target practice.

When I checked out their favorite list, every story in the competition was in there. And every score, of course. Not so very difficult to find out people's scores after all.

When the contest was over, all those favorites disappeared of course.

the dumb texan and his cohort darkboy always claim that the scores shouldn't be public and that only AHinsiders should have them. It makes it easier for them to cheat if everyone else is in the dark. We believe that if some contestants have them then everyone should.

And yes cheating has been way up over the last year. First lovergirl (ytcc) and then darkboy took it to previously unheard of levels. In the last contest our resident numbers man darkboy actually won the contest with the least read (views) story! Stunk to high heaven!

I’ve never heard of the system you describe for getting all the contest scores – when I want them I get one of my staff members to go and check story by story. Takes her usually a good hour of work. BTW who was the contestant who used this system?

I don't remember who it was, it's been quite a while. I do know the entry was from Europe, I want to say Sweden or Denmark, maybe Germany. I had to laugh, it was such a simple way to track a contest. Pretty smart actually. The person's story was well back in the pack.
