I see. I wondered about that myself. My Nude Day submission was a 4.55, but right after the results were announced, it shot up to 4.71 and has been there ever since. I don't tend to assume anything nefarious, though. I'm still sort of new here, and it does seem like some of the contest rules weigh heavily in favor of veterans who have many fans, but it just makes me try all the harder to write better.
 
Great work again on the score tally. What America needs are the AIR score calculator overseeing elections in Florida. They couldn't announce their presidential pick until days later. Ridiculous!

And great job to Scouries for jumping to the top of the list for the total number of votes even after having his story posted in the last day of admissions. Amazing. I may have to leave notes on the bottom on my stories telling people to vote. It seems to work wonders for people who do that.

I nominate the woman who stabbed me, shot me, and pushed my beloved blue Ferrari off the White Mountain, Kangamangus, treacherous mountain road while I was still driving it. From beyond my grave, I nominate my murderer, Susan Jill Parker.

I think our old pal SusieQ is trying to fool the boss. Posting under freddie’s name like that. But she made a mistake when she pretended to know where Polo is. Unbeknownst to her and her henchman ralphie the cute little rat terrier has been living at ScouriesWorld ever since poor freddie was murdered. Polo is the only living witness to their dastardly crime and someday her testimony is going to send these arch criminals away for life.

Nonetheless we will accept her nomination and throw her name in among the many others we’ve received. We will give her 2012 work a fair judging as we compare her output to the other nominees.

Well “just one more night” to go until the winners are announced. Will lovergirl finally break through? Or will the QUEEN pull another surprise out of her hat? I suspect it will be a long, sleepless night for our young comic book threaddmistress.

Over 100 authors were nominated by the over two thousand A.I.R. Members who participated in the nomination process. Some perhaps were frivolous. But most were serious nominations – members nominating their favorite. And why not? Different readers have different tastes, LITEROTICA has many categories, it’s normal to expect many nominations when you remember that over thirty thousand stories were submitted to LITEROTICA by over 1700 different authors during 2012.

So we were faced with cutting down the list to a manageable number. How? On what basis?

Well we started with the raw numbers – number of stories submitted, number of reads, votes, comments, and favorites (both total and average per story in each group).

We looked at how many categories the author wrote in and whether he was a dominant force in any category.

We looked at how he or she had done in the A.I.R. Contests. At the end of this analysis we’d whittled the field down to sixteen potential winners. This list of sixteen writers was then analyzed by the A.I.R. computers and with the aid of this further analysis our Blue Ribbon panel of writing experts (gathered from academia and the great publishing houses) has come up with a final list of eight.

Here are the final eight nominees – it will be up to you the A.I.R. Member to select the author of the year. Internet ballots will be going out to all A.I.R. Members in good standing tomorrow night. Voting will remain open until Christmas Eve – PLEASE VOTE!

This busy Haitian-American from Boston who now teaches writing in Canada’s capital to Somalians still managed to find time to submit over 150 stories to LITEROTICA in 2012 and extended his lead in the “most prolific” author race. This MANU winning giant continues to be the leader in bringing a black perspective to erotic writing.

Capable of successfully switching categories at will this girl proved that people from the far north are capable of melting the sexual ice.
