The attach tags

I know some vBulletin Boards have the tags enabled why not this one surely it would be extremely useful for the browsers


Thats just my 2cents but id like to know if there is a way we could get it enabled

This forum has Manage Attachments as a button bellow in the section between the Submit reply button under the smilies and the Submit button on the bottom of the page.

It is in the Additional Options section and I don't think you have ever scrolled down that far, which must be why you missed it.

From the syntax you used, I'm guessing that the ATTACH tag functions like the IMG tags to display an attachment or allows you display an attachment in a post other than the one it's attached to?

If that's the case, Lit doesn't use it because of the size of the attachment database here -- automatically displaying attachments requires searching the attachment database everytime a thread is requested; the size of the database here puts a tremendous load on the server and slows down the entire forum for everyone.

The automatic display of attachments was turned off when the problem got to the point of occasionaly crashing the entire site.

What kind of error and from where -- is it a browser error, a system error, or a Literotica error message?

I hav an occasional aproblem with forgetting I have my pop-up stopper enabled and getting the sound of crashing glass instead of the attachment opening in a new window as it is supposed to -- could you be having pproblems with a faulty or improperly configured pop-up blocker?
