Winchester Virginia has perhaps 3 stores worth visiting. Bells Clothiers, Wilkins shoes and Violino Ristorante.

One of our amusements is to visit the Winchester South Super Walmart parking lot and guestimate the total tonnage of shoppers. It averages 8 shoppers per tonne.


edit: Winchester isn't "small town" any more. It approaches city size now and is growing at an amazing rate.

For the most part, I tend to agree. Fairly typical for Will Self. His novels are the same.
