The Alien Enemies Act - 1798

That wasn't the question. Are you drinking with Pete now?

Oh! You thought when I said PEDRO it meant Secretary of DUI.

No, I mean Lance, the lover of young boys of a certain age group.
Not sure where you're getting all of this, Sparky, but if it gives you some secret thrill to think so, enjoy it with my blessing.

That’s progress!

Last week you were still in the Fatty Denial Closet, you obese incel.

Lol
No, person who can't read. I asked what made you think I'm fat considering no one here has ever seen a pic of me.

1. The civilian court has no jurisdiction over military matters or the use of military/war powers. Nor can the courts preemptively restrain the government from invoking a war powers act.

2. The TRO is void ab initio. The appellate courts will block the order. The judge needs to find himself arrested and jailed for multiple Federal offenses while the DOJ seeks an indictment.

3. The deportees were taken into custody by Venezuela police after the plane landed. Which means either the plane had offloaded the deportees before the court ordered them returned, or the Administration rightfully ignored the court's order. Or both.

The difference is that my thoughts are based on my reading of the applicable United States law.

I kept wondering where your ideas come from until I realized men are from Mars, women are from Venus, and your ideas are from Uranus.

Seems SCOTUS is going to have rule on this. That kinda means you need to improve on your reading skills....

Trump will invoke the National Secrets Act.

My suggestion would be to give the judge a redacted copy of everything he asked for. A completely blacked out copy except for the name of the lawyer and the court heading for the pleading. When the judge insists on getting an unredacted copy, upon pain of contempt or punishment if it's not handed over, give it to him and explain that he is not authorized to have it nor have it outside of a secure facility (SCIF). Then arrest his ass and perp walk him out the FRONT DOOR of the courthouse.

Basically, if you're going to call the President a tyrant and wave your puny little gavel at him, you should expect to be tyranted when you fuck around above your pay grade.
It seems that governing a country is "above the pay grade" of President Trump and many of the people he has appointed to his cabinet!

From The Economist:

"On March 24th the administration invoked the "state secrets privilege" to rebuff a federal judge, James Boasberg, seeking details about flights of illegal immigrants to El Salvador . . .

. . . Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth and others are now being sued as violating federal record-keeping laws by using Signal. The case has been assigned to judge Boasberg."

BTW, it was actually the Alien Enemas Act of 1798.

Long, complex story.

One of those things that doesn't go into the history books because it's just too embarrassing.

🙄

It was a dissent nonetheless.

😑

Trump appointees should all be removed from the bench. They’re all corrupted / compromised by cowardice and / or complicity, to some extent.

👎

We. Told. Them. So.

Every judge, state or federal, who has ever had any connection to the Federalist Society should be removed from the bench. There is no important difference from a judge who has belonged to the Klan or a neo-Nazi group.
