They could be Ferrari parts, but they won't fix a Ford.
You guys wanna know something funny about Ferrari parts? I know from hands-on experience that the A/C compressors on the 308 and their other 1970s models were box-stock Chevrolet parts. Many, many other components were from other plebeian makes, but mostly GM. Rolls-Royce master brake cylinders were Buick parts with the ID numbers ground off. $800 from Rolls, $70 from the local Buick dealer. Same part.
But I can also tell you that the internals on Ferrari motors and transmissions are engineering masterpieces. Total artistry, pleasing to the mind and soul. So, to that end, you might think you're resigned to building an Impala of a story, but bear in mind that important bit, whatever it is, is equally at home in a Ferrari 308GTS or whatever you deem it to be.
