WIWAW: Mom, Sex, Guns, and Rock-n-Roll is live this morning in Reviews and Essays. As of 5AM, it had as many votes as the original story in T/I. That isn't saying much. They both had five votes. For the moment, the Essay has a red H, and its pulled the score on the original story up to 4.0.

My WIWAW gets hit every time the subject story gets hit so I think people are having trouble following the story and go to the WIWAW to try to figure it out ...

I've got a fresh pot of coffee going and the teapot is hot. There are donuts on the counter whicj I won't be partaking in since I'm leaving in a minute to go to the dentist.

I'll be back later to work on my story. So far, so good ...

My family reunion took a turn yesterday when my elderly father (in his 90’s) had to be taken to the ER at lunch time because his oxygen levels plummeted. He did make it back last night (with O2) and seems to be doing better. It is understood by all of us that he does not have long and if that had been his time, he would have been happy having his entire clan with him.

My SO and I will stay with my stepmother and him for the day today, then fly home. Maybe some writing at the airport this evening, but I should be able to be back to it tomorrow at least.

All are welcome in the AH Coffee Shop and Reading Room. @TxRad built this up with his own two hands and we are keeping it going in his honor.

There's a pot of coffee brewing and the teapot is steaming. There are donuts and danish on the counter. The early apples (Lodi) are coming in and I'm going to make an apple crisp one of these days.

I'll be over in the corner working on my story if you need anything. Just ignore the muttering as I hash things out with my Muse. My story is progressing as ideas for other stories bubble up in my head ...

Good morning CK. I would love some of your donuts, but we are stuck in a hotel somewhere, one of many casualties of the severe weather plane cancellations last night. We even tried to rent a car to drive the last 8 hours home, but no cars were available. One of the few good things with my bad knee is that, because I am in a wheelchair in the airport, we qualified for a free hotel room.

I'm thinking of putting a custom image on my author's page. The specs require the image to be a pretty narrow strip. What do y'all think of these two options? The images are bigger than I usually post, so sorry if I break your screen.



My alternative would be a landscape, which I don't have right now.

The composition of the top one is better, but the white balance is off, which is why the colors in the bottom one look better.

The kelvin slider needs to shift toward blue maybe 100 or so.
