It's sprinkling! There's moisture in the air, and it smells wonderful. The Weather Service predicted that we should get 0.13 inches of rain tonight, and maybe even snow!

I know that probably sounds stupid to those of you who measure rain by inches and snow by feet. That's not my life.

A fresh pot and a hot kettle. What else could you ask for on beautiful Thighsday morning? Peace in our lifetime would be nice but I doubt it will happen, I don't care what Miss World Tits tries to tell you.

Yay! It's raining. We had light rain all night and officially 0.37 inches so far. That's about three times what was predicted, and radar looks like it could go on all morning.

The mountains were hidden when I drove into work, but I could see a little of the foothills. They had snow, but probably all above 8,000 feet. The ski slope is reporting 8 inches of new powder.

I'm heading for a weekend at Lake Placid; if I see Lynn, I'll keep her off the slopes. I'm not sure about the ski jump or the skeleton run, though.

Morning all,

I was up at four and said, "Fark it!" I went back to bed.

The last day of the work week for some. Fresh coffee is available. I'm nibbling on cinnamon toast and sipping milk. Slow starting this morning. It was 84f yesterday and supposed to be 68 today. Rain for the next couple of days but warm for this time of year.

Work in the shop, write? Work in the shop, write? I'll have to think about that for a little while longer.

I'm having a blueberry bagel with my coffee. The bagel is good, though it's what a friend of mine who grew up in Bronx calls "not-a-bagel."

Our day should stay sunny and cool for a while.

Maybe I'll forget work for a little bit and do some writing.

A whole weekend of writing ahead. My beloved flew out to some conference in LA yesterday morning. Flight overbooked, got compensated and rerouted. Flew the first leg. Next leg overbooked, got compensation plus hotel paid for. Now on the plane to Vegas but no seat from Vegas to LA so may get compensated again. He's hoping the same thing happens for the flight home on Monday coz he's already $800 up on the trip and he was just laughing this morning. Gotta love this airline stuff.

That really is strange. So, in theory, he could either arrive late (just in time for the closing remarks?) or possibly be still travelling a week later. Compensated is one thing, but absence at an important 'event' is plain DAFT ! (or possibly injurious).

For the first time (certainly this year), I have managed to photograph a little bird and get a respectable image.

So a celebratory cup of Tea is required.

Evening folks. I took the day off from writing and spent some time outside and in the shop. Too damp to work in the yard. It's down right soggy. I had enough scrap lumber to build three yard boats and two trailers. I might have enough paint to finish them up tomorrow.
