The 80's

Another great 80s item that I forgot (how could I?) is the greatest comic strip of the decade, mybe the best of all time: Bloom County. Milo Bloom, Steve Dallas, Opus, Bill the Cat, the talking cockeroach.

Remember Bill's ill-fated run for president in 1980?

Bloom County was everything that Doonesbury tries to be and fails at, humorous, intelligent commentary on the times.

Do you remember what the name of Opus's band was? I brought up that song "Drop Kick me Jesus through the Goal posts of life" that came out during one of the illustrated books, but I couldn't remember the name of the band.

Opus rules.

Originally, it was called Deathtongue but when Steve Dallas was called in front of a congressional committee about names like that, he changed it to Billy and his Boingers. Bill the Cat was the lead singer.

TV shows...Was Dallas on in the 80's?

I swear, I didn't do drugs but for some reason the 80's are like a blurr..

It's kind of like coffee. What's the point in adding flavour? Speaking of which, International coffee's had a slew of instant that was popular back then. Came in tin, you opened it up and it looked like hot chocolate mix . . . irish cream, grand marnier, vanilla.

What else happened back then in the way of food? :D A&W disappeared :(
