At New York’s Trump Tower, condo prices have lost their glitter

Since 2015, prices at Trump Tower have dropped 30 percent per square foot compared with an 8 percent fall in comparable properties on Manhattan’s Midtown East Side, according to New York real estate site CityRealty.com.

By comparison, prices at Olympic Tower, a 1975 Midtown building likened to Trump Tower that is a few blocks south on Fifth Avenue, dropped 21 percent since 2015. That contrasts with a 29 percent rise in prices in the area, including new developments, over the same period.

This is how the United States became irrelevant to the rest of the world

Over the past year, the United States has abandoned its leadership position on the global stage in many ways. The U.S. stopped leading the effort to combat climate change. The U.S. stopped leading on trade and tariffs. The U.S. raised destabilizing questions about our continued commitment to multilateral organizations and military alliances. The U.S. stopped leading on human rights and the rule of law. And these are things that Trump did with intention.

Trump justified these actions as necessary for America to be first, but the result is more like America has become alone and mostly irrelevant.

"Irrelevant, am I?!" POTUS squealed, reaching for the launch button.

President Donald Trump addresses the nation on Syria

President Donald Trump addressed the nation on the situation in Syria Friday evening.

Trump has decided to bomb the country, according to U.S. administration officials who spoke to Pentagon correspondent Joe Tabet.

“US administration official confirmed to me that a decision to strike #Syria has been taken,” he tweeted.

In other news Trump intervened in the Cohen Case. A judge approved his intervention!

Russia threatened WAR! if the US struck Syria! Cadet Bone spur wasn't deterred.

England and France were also involved. I suppose that if Russia reacts violently, then we will be looking at the possibility of war.

>Trump bombs residential areas of Syria's capital.
>Syria is the #1 most economically and territorially strategic ally of Russia in the middle east.
>Russia threatened war if this happened.

I swear to god there will be people still screaming about how he's a puppet and a Manchurian candidate as the nukes are in the air on their way to Washington.

He's escalating to war with another major power and its Asian allies because he's overcompensating for this widespread conspiracy theory that he was installed by said power and wants to appear more hostile than is necessary to do so! Does bombing the capital city of Russia's #1 ally in the M.E. and risking a full blown World War really seem like something a puppet government would do?

~ ~ ~

And of course it was my PM that rushed behind Herr Kommandant Trump like a lost puppy with no agreement through parliament that the British public want to get involved in another war over there.

The geopolitical status of the world's major powers is at its worst point since the Vietnam war and all the major countries are eagerly rushing headlong into a direct confrontation with Russia with no democratic oversight.
If it turned out that Assad's government were the ones that gassed those people I'm not saying that nothing should be done about it, that is what the UN military and protocols of international co-op are for, but 3 states unilaterally attacking the capital city of another well connected state is not the correct course of action.

The global chemical watchdog, the OPWC, was on its way to Syria to investigate on Saturday but the US and its lapdogs couldn't wait that long. Proving culpability in a gas attack is obviously too laborious, just kill a few dozen citizens of one of the suspects with no provided evidence and hope for the best.

Right wing media allies turn on Trump over Syria

Some of Donald Trump’s most fervent supporters in the media turned on the president Friday over his decision to launch military strikes against Syria in retaliation for an alleged chemical weapons attack.

On Fox News, hosts Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham were uncharacteristically critical of the president, questioning Trump’s decision to launch the strikes.

“I guess it feels good because there are horrible things happening there,” Ingraham said, sparring with former White House official Sebastian Gorka. “But what do we really accomplish here tonight in Syria? This is not why Donald Trump got elected."

Noting Trump’s criticism of the Iraq war on the 2016 campaign trail, Carlson remarked “This is clearly not something he ran on, and and it’s inconsistent with a lot of things that he’s said over the years.”

Pro-Trump Far-right media personalities were apoplectic.

“Fuck Trump, and fuck these fucking people,” said Infowars’ Alex Jones, and launched into series of conspiracy theories about the raids before bursting into tears.

“If he had been a piece of crap from the beginning, it wouldn’t be so bad,” Jones said of Trump. “We’ve made so many sacrifices and now he’s crapping all over us. It makes me sick."

Trump wagging his dog over Syria and no one cares?

Trump wagging his dog over Syria and no one cares?
Nightmare scenarios:

* Nukes are the worst. Avoid.

* Provoke an attack on US territory. That's an excuse to declare martial law, impose order, jail dissidents and detectives, etc. Hope the nukes don't follow.

* The Syrian tail failed to wag the dog. Tromp needs some other diversion. Attack, disaster, mass firings, martial law anyway. Beware.

Things ain't gonna get prettier anytime soon.
