Not likely! Unless you want Yoko type screeching! I can't sing. At best I can stand up there in go-go boots with a tambourine! 🤣🤣
As a groupie the onstage performance wasn't what I was necessary referring to, 😚
However, I'm sure you'd be wonderful onstage as well 🤣

Sipping hot coffee at 4 am is not a great start to the weekend. Its the sinuses again and the weather makes them worse. I imagine I will nap sometime today.

If you have a humidifier, vaporizer, or even a pot of water, that will help to keep your mucous membranes moist. And rest will help!
Thanks. I need to get the humidifier going at night. I use a hot wash cloth to loosen things up But then I am up. Well, than goodness for naps. How are you doing?

My son did a few open mike nights shortly after he finished college and that was my inspiration. I’m no worse than him lol. YouTube is a great way to learn stuff. I learned how to play the opening riff to Roll Over Beethoven by watching a video by a guy who has a channel called Marty Music.

My strategy for my upcoming gig this coming spring is to:
1. Stick to songs that are easy for me to play
2. Stick to songs I can sing without making a complete fool of myself. I am a terrible singer but there are plenty of popular artists who compensate for limitations by staying within the key that best fits their vocal cords, and staying within range.
3. Pick popular songs the audience is likely to know and love. The crowd at the brewery I’m playing at tend to be older, and the piped in music that gets played features a lot of Americana stuff, traditional country, classic rock, and some classic pop hits from way back. So far, my set list includes Ripple (Grateful Dead), Streets of Bakersfield (Buck Owens, Dwight Yoakam), The Hobo Song (Old and In the Way), Sweet Virginia (Rolling Stones) and In the Garden (numerous artists). I’m including the latter because the brewery is in a rural Bible Belt community. It’s a beautiful church song that I think some folks will enjoy hearing.
I’m familiar with Marty! Mary Swartz I think his name is and he has years of material for free on the UToob! I’ve learn some riffs watching him.

Good plan going forward with your gig. One thing I’ve heard from performers is don’t sweat it if you make a mistake! The audience probably wont even know, and it even happens to the pro’s! We were at a Jack Johnson concert about ten years ago, he forgot the words to a popular song of his…stopped the performance, laughed and fessed up, and got right back into it! So be bold!

Love the line up of songs also. I was hoping you’d tell us. A couple of those are challenging! At least they would be for me. I’ve tried to learn a few Dead songs but above my ability at this point. You can’t go wrong with an old gospel staple. I used to attend a Hops and Hymns sing along on Sunday nights at a local brewery. So much fun and they would sprinkle some popular songs in they lineup.

You’re going to be a big hit I’m sure!

These two clips sum up the utter fucking madness and chaos of hardcore in the early 80s. I’m so glad I was part of it.

And when we do see bands, I still occasionally jump in. One of these days I may break a hip!

I was not at either of these shows, but it’s pretty close to what most shows were like…

See the bottom of the X post for the video.

Look at the bottle dodge at the 13 second mark.

I miss it… and I know I’m sounding old by saying this, but I don’t see the same chaos and spontaneity in music these days.

Went to a few dozen concerts in LA during late 70s...The Roxy and the famous Whiskey A Go Go..
Romones Blondie Flaming Groovies...bands I cannot remember

"Hot" is very subjective! And if you can haul heavy equipment, you're probably burly enough for me! 🤣🤣🤣
Like the David Lee Roth song, right tool for the job, which I sing every time my wife asks me to do something that requires lifting something heavy on our farm.

Well, I can't dance
And I can't sing
I ain't that smart
But I can lift really heavy things
