for a jeapardy and trivia thread, what would be the best forum? Playground? This one?

¿Jeopardy?

Bring back Mayim Bialik!

It’s one thing to memorize information and another to watch people quickly reason an answer.

What’s a good day? Any day you answer Final Jeopardy correctly. (Bonus if all the Contestants missed it)

Thanks for the advice on the iphone charging. There is a battery / phone store that has done great when I needed a keyfob battery and a protective screen on my phone replaced. I am goin to see them. I am going to check out the wireless charging stations too.

I was in several "garage" bands that were like Chicago (horns), rock (Santana) and the just weird (Mothers of Invention).

My bucket list item now is to sing and play guitar before a live audience (other than my dog who faithfully hangs out with me when I’m practicing in the solitude of the basement with no humans around).

The owner of a local microbrewery is giving me my chance to play on the outdoor patio on a Saturday afternoon this spring when the weather warms up. So far have 7 songs on my set list. Plan to get between 10 and 12 before my debut.
That is great. It is important to do the bucket list. I would like to try a drum box, or its called a Cajon for the fun of it.

A couple of months ago I got an iPhone 14. My first was a Motorola brick. In spring '04 I cut the cord forever.

Yesterday I got caught in the ATT meltdown. My phone is locked in SOS mode and my brother, the family Techie, and I can't get it unlocked. After breakfast I'll go to the ATT store.

This was getting me frustrated but then I realized that this is the first time I've had a meltdown with my cell phone. Not bad...walkaround cord free for 19 years and maybe 40 total...not bad.
If att’s system is still down today, the store won’t be able to help. I’d call ahead and see.

Mine is with me all the time. For my day job, it’s no problem.

But on our property, taking down trees, spitting firewood, using a chainsaw, it had tons of sawdust, dirt and lint in it.

It was a mess.

I usually get a good 4 years out of my phone.

My wife’s was really old. An iPhone 8. I wanna say from 2017/18??
I had an iPhone which I loved until last fall when I took it to the Apple Store to get a new battery. Apple somehow destroyed my phone during the battery charging processes and after many many hours and negotiations, I ended up with a new iPhone SE ( second edition) for the price of the battery. It’s almost the same but has a bigger memory and a few other things. Mainly it’s the same size as the 8,which is good because I have small hands.

I always wanted to be in a band. Other than playing drums in a Monkees cover band with a couple of kids in the neighborhood when I was in 4th grade, it never happened. Started playing guitar as a teenager and have plucked strings ever since with dreams of reaching rock star status. In recent years I’ve tempered my goals a bit. My bucket list item now is to sing and play guitar before a live audience (other than my dog who faithfully hangs out with me when I’m practicing in the solitude of the basement with no humans around).

Had an accident that mauled my hand ten years ago. After months of therapeutic putty to strengthen the hand, I decided I needed to find something not as boring! My kid had been taking guitar lessons, and so as I was walking past his room, i looked in, grabbed a guitar and lo and behold, my fused fingers fit the neck perfectly!

I went to the UToob and looked up free guitar lessons. JustinGuitar had me playing a Bob Marley song in five minutes! I had my kid teach me some basic chords when he was taking lessons so I did know my way around three or four cowboy chords…

So happy for you BB50’s! Doing an open mike night is my dream! Not brave enough yet. Good luck and rock on brother!
