The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

It really was! Absolutely captivating, seeing so many bands from 50 years ago playing our favourite songs and bringing back some beautiful memories.
Is it just my age, or was that really the best era for pop and rock music?
There were some fab bands in that period: the bands you listed, but also Northern Soul, some amazing funk bands, Sweet, Slade, Parliament Funkadelic, Hawkwind.

But, I would rather listen to the Cockney Rejects rather than cockney Rebel. My wife and I met them and they told us the story behind this epic top of the pops performance.

“We had about 7 or 8 ciders that morning. Vince (their bass player) had 12, 13 maybe 15 before going on stage.”

It shows.

I'm sitting in a bookstore. Waiting for others to find something to read. As if Amazon isn't delivering books several times a week!
When I was 16 I was running errands w/ my younger siblings in the car. On the way home, I stopped at the library promising a quick (20 min or less) stop.

3 hours later we were on our way home.
They've all said "scarred for life".
Here's the thing... we lived a block away... they could have walked home in 5 min w/o crossing a single street. :ROFLMAO:

TBH @dkak001, I would most likely just grab a copy of a title on my library hold list and just start reading... then be the hold up because I would want to finish before leaving. That is so on-brand for me. :geek: 📚 I would even go so far as to say, "If you stop for food, grab me an apple and a grilled cheese then pick me up on your way out of town." 🥪 🚗
