The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

That bounce factor is a real thing! I’m not allowed on ladders anymore. (Broke my ankle in a fall and it’s never been the same.) The two step stepstool is my limit.

You might be better off with a 4' stepladder because it's higher even if you don't climb past one step. Besides, there the Not-A-Step there to use as a shelf, and that comes in handy.

In all my years and all my time spent around cars from yesteryear, I have never ridden in a rumble seat.

I do know, there are no seat belts in the damned things.

I do think that the rear window rolls down in some models.
Rumble seats are better for parades than cruising down the road at 45 or 50.

Kinda neat, but not advised for long trips.

I grumble about how modern cars all look the same.

Then I see pictures like this, and start looking for differences between it and the 31 ford in the garage. Apparently modern cars back then looked similar too. 😆

I could never tell them apart very easily. Some had distinct differences. Your A-bone would have wire wheels and this one is wood spoked.

Haha.

I so wanna out the most insane and lewd and horrific things to people who text me “how was your day?”

Or “it’s been so long since I’ve heard from you.”

It is soooo tempting….
I get those as texts X's [twitters] and as texts on Telegram. The pics the AI bot uses as the profile picture I ask them awful things. Their job offers or curiosity if my day is well or not is complete BS. And the phone calls if I want to sell my house. Ugh.

Exactly!
And that’s wrong, how? 😂😜🤣
Not wrong - just different 😁
Double electric spoons!
 Do they double as a cattle prod to help keep other band members in line? ⚡
I'm angling to come up with a plan.
This reminds me of my Aunt who loved keeping a pitcher of screwdrivers in the refrigerator. We visited and my mom wanted OJ for breakfast. My aunt smirked as mom just put down one after another of that great OJ. 😂
My brain:

15 seconds later:  Oh... those screwdrivers 🤭
Okay, up. Coffee'd, for the moment. Laundry is on. I'ma gonna text this guy with the 1941 anvil and tell him thanks but no thanks. The guy with the 1920 phaeton in KS is unresponsive. The guy with the 1931 Marmon in RI is responsive. Truthfully, I'd rather drive to KS than to RI, but the car is more gooderer.
Honestly... what's the point of advertising something if you're going to be incommunicado right after?
Good morning on a lazy Sunday. My empathy for the 3 am club.

It’s raining all day and then it’s turning colder. I guess autumn has arrived.

I’m really trying hard to live day by day. Planning is part of my personality. So this change is going to take time. Feel free to offer tips.
3am Club was expected for me last night. today's window for a nap closes in 90 minutes. that's then the 18 hour marathon for the morning begins.

Haven't looked at the temps but PC tells me 2 rainy days beginning tomorrow.

No real tips for you, but wondering if planning out the small stuff could help alleviate the overall loss of planning? IDK - might just be busy work but planning the mundane could fill some of that need maybe? Mundane being stuff like grocery, laundry, gas fill ups, oil changes, etc.? 🫂
😗 🤌
we capped probably one of the best days out in a couple of months!
Win Column!! 🎣
the Not-A-Step there to use as a shelf, and that comes in handy.
That shelf is handy!
So common in the UK
Common which way? Preventing or allowing?
I'm hoping for the former 🤞
Thanks everyone.

Hitting the road this afternoon. Going to see who's willing to trade money for a degree for one of the offspring. Heading all the way two states over. It's feeling like a good day to sit in the car and be lazy!
I still remember the weekend our family took when I was looking at colleges. Downside to being the oldest in such a large family? "Everyone in the van"... and they ALL come with to look at the campus and dorms. And dad did this all on his own. He loved just showing up and asking some hapless person at a desk how they could accommodate he and his family.
The more involved the stop we would make, the faster I would cross it off my list. Nightmare visions of freshman year on campus:
Stranger: Oh, hi - aren't you that kid whose whole family stopped to look at the dorms a few months ago? Yeah - I remember you.
Me: NOPE
