You're welcome.. And that's great because its a pretty inhospitable place out there. Thanks! We try to help each other out.
They often send down plate lunches etc...
I've usually got a pretty decent view from my "office window" though, getting to see some things that many people don't.You're welcome.. And that's great because its a pretty inhospitable place out there.
True the view must be really awesome.I've usually got a pretty decent view from my "office window" though, getting to see some things that many people don't.
Plus, we're all out here for pretty much the same reasons...
1. To make a living.
2. To keep gas at the pumps and the lights on.
3. Because we really don't "fit in" elsewhere.![]()
Sunsets, sunrises, STRANGE weather, aquatic creatures....True the view must be really awesome.
Have you seen any water spouts?Sunsets, sunrises, STRANGE weather, aquatic creatures....
Orcas, whales, bizarre fish etc...

Time to shower and get ready for work!
I enjoyed the visit Nightbird and will check in when able!
Looking toward the disaster area from my deck.Alaska is a big place and the floods were 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 hours away by jet plane from where I live. Plus, I live about 700 feet above sea level, so I'm pretty safe from floods. Thanks.
I love baby goats! They are just so darn cute!So the landlady has been stocking up on goats these last couple of years. She had two. We had to put the sick one down. then she got 3 dwarfs. Then she got the preggers regular one who had her one baby. The littlest dwarf, Sophie, has a ton of personality. First Time I was visiting after she had arrived, we were out doing whatever and I felt something hit my ankle. I turned to look when it happened again and Sophie was butting my lower leg. She was playing with the new human. Goats are a lot more innerestin' then one might think, and pleasant in most cases, too.
Yeah. Fuckoffistan probably already has a mayor! My nomination is for Village Idjit.
I'm so glad he's better!Good morning denizens of the diner. Oh what a thread and so much activity last night. And of course we get the occasional ass.

Cousin #2 is heading out to Tennessee to see Tennessee Jed (her son), and Cousin #1 is in early stage dementia so canāt be counted on. Which leaves me and momma. Heās gonna have to wait till after we go fishān as the tables say 1245 is peak!
Gots to keep it short as SWMBO is curled up on the couch and gets snappy if she hears too much huntān&pekān!

Poignant, beautiful and gutwrenching...I remember when we first met decades ago, tall, shy, but certain. Gorgeous thick straight black hair, great smile with a twinkle in Your eyes when you laughed. Your work was amazing. I explained the system and you followed it. I could trust you and I knew at some point we would be friends And we did, you became part of my family.
Over the years, we were there for each other, filled in each otherās gaps, when I was having trouble finding a place, you said I could live with you, you helped me with every moved, checked out every guy and I handled the things you couldnāt. We liked the same music, food, and hanging out just chatting on the back porch or the garage in the evenings. You worked for me and I worked for you. When I didnāt have a credit card and needed one, you gave me yours to use. We were friends and I never thought the end would come so soon. Itās still just hitting me that we wonāt talk or see each other when I get home, that we wonāt laugh again.
I keep remembering the day you came running toward my car as I was backing out yelling ā I love you! ( pause) but not like that,ā us laughing and people staring. I loved you too, although I never said it, I think you knew. Rip.
There are treatments for that. Has s/he discussed with you?My doctors have told me itās from an enlarged prostate.
