I saw lotsa cool cars today.

Out of the blue one of my racing buddies asked if I wanted to go to the Flemington speedway historical society car show.

I figured “well he’ll, I’m a member of the damn speedway society so why the hell not?”

So we ran a few errands down that way and had a great time at the show. We used to always bring out Torino wagon and racing posters there.

But had a great day.

So we ran a bunch of errands and found myself not far from the car show. So how could I NOT go??

Saw a bunch of friends and every one of Ames wonderers clients, who races a sweet looking mid 60s vintage sprint car (why did I not take any pics???)

Then we filled up the wood bins at the farm stand. Someone bought 14 pumpkins and left me $5. I got their liscence plate number so we’ll see if they pay up…

Tomrrow I start my solar kiln and haveta wrap up around 2pm… I haveta travel to Cincinnati tomrrow night for work.

My brother and I brought up '68 Mopars. Plymouths. 383 engines.


I asked, how many big blocks do I have.


He said I disposed of them when I sold that last car.


I said, I acquired, I don't dispose. I have two 383s, 3 400s and a 440.

When my Grandaddy moved to my hometown off the farm, he got a job as a policeman walking the beat down on river. He got fired because he’d shoot the giant wharf rats running around with his service revolver!

Friend of mine at work is now an obsolete MOS, 11M which was a fighting vehicle infantry in the 3rd acr. He was deployed in Bosnia and Kosovo.
