I have never gotten a picture of a moon worth having. I’m not sure what I’m not doing right, but I am failing. Perhaps asking for help is in order….
By the way, that’s a damn fine poem!
Which variety is this dkak?Took a quick peek at some of the trees. It's so hard to capture what they look like in real life. These ones in the sun turn much more red than the ones under cover of leaves.
They're about grapefruit size, but not ready yet.

Wolf river.Which variety is this dkak?
When I bought my place, one of my brothers helped me shop for a set of basic tools. Just the stuff that's handy to have around the house for normal type stuff.
I've kept them organized and looking like new for 20+ years because I was taught:
Treat your tools well and they'll treat you well
Thanks to the handyman most of my tools are now looking like they were rode hard and put away wet. There's even a few missing that he "found here at my place". Honestly!
At least I know where they are - now the trick is getting him to remember to bring them back here the next time he shows.*
Irritating part - Yes, I can find something to replace them. But this particular set is no longer sold. So there is no replacing the part of the set if he doesn't return it. It will be a hunt for "something similar that will still work" at best.
I cannot wait for the day when he finishes these last few items. Then I can be done and never call him again.
Sad thing - he does decent work for a decent price. But he ghosts like a MFer and communicates forwhich makes dealing with him stress-inducing and maddening. Never again - I'll need to try and find a different handyman for any future jobs... and I will never recommend him to any of my friends/family!
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
*He's ghosted me for almost 3 weeks again
Good policy.Wat’s tip for maintaining a happy place: never, ever, lend a tool to anybody without their leaving a hand for deposit. They bring the tool back, they can have their hand back.
I'll be home soon. The valium will garantee the nap
Good policy.
I had not given persmission for my tools to be used. He had brought his own.
However, he helped himself to my toolbox as soon as he found it. By then, it was too late.
So add to the list of things to do before workers come to the house: Hide all tools
Really?!? Yep![]()

I managed to control that but still - there's a now-former kitchen broom that is now a garage broomYes, really. Also, hide your broom.
Seriously….

That is almost as good as putting a strip of bacon on a puncture wound. We were at my parents hunting cabin and I tramped on a nail. I insisted on getting to a Dr. and when I told him what my mother and her friend said, he laughed, "Yeah! if you want to loose your foot!"According to the old wives tale, don’t ever take a broom when you move. Leave the old broom at the old place and get a new broom for your new place. You know, in case the bristles are full of evil spirits or something.
Good idea...Reminds me to go eat another apple!

Good lesson - start 'em off with something simple but requiring tools. See how they treat their tools... proceed accordingly.Mother fucker.
