He was your best friend
Thanks y’all. I’ve always heard when the elderly have a nasty fall, they just never seem to get better. Hopefully she’ll buck the trend. Fingers crossed!
Thanks again for the support.
I bet syrup gets a line through it. Vinegar off a dusks back….Ah the immortal Gary Larsen![]()
Just ooo and ah. It's okay. The boys will love it.
Very on-brand forPiffle. Cats who have done nothing all day are vastly more tired, and one of them snores to prove it.
Me - any day ending in YStill could stand to roll back over and go back to sleep like Ethyl would. Yeah.
Yep - like a sneaky ocean wave. Comes at you all calm and quiet... next thing you know - your feet have been swept out from under you.Miss the old horse this morning. Kinda funny how that comes up sometimes.
I think this is pretty common tbh. Were staff kind to you as this realization hit out of the blue?I think I’ve relayed the story of how I had an MRI and found out I was claustrophobic

not to be confused with Broken Robot's "Acid Duck"Hey! New band name. Acid Duck!![]()
I have win11pro on all of my machines. Can't say I love it because they won't let you choose to install updates. I loath the random reboots they replaced blue screen crashes with. Otherwise hasn't been any issues for me. Initially I did look up ways to make the right click popup menus normal and show all the icons in the systray and stuff like that. But MS always moves stuff behind three extra clicks and calls it productive.Happy Hump Day
Did everyone survive the transition to Windows 11?
Everyone loving it as much as I am?![]()

Does your area have Open MRI as an option?
Pretty sure I have some mild Situational Claustophobia depending on the MRI. When they lock your head in that cage? It spikes. When you just lie there and hold still without anything braced or strapped down? Much more manageable.

Not really too much money for a thing of quality and beauty. Top English new and bespoke will be £100,000 plusIndeed, way too much money for something that might have to be used as a walking staff in the field.
Ugh…back from the 4 hr slog…they gave that poor woman 3…THREE MRI’s today! She told me she had done it but when she got out her hair was a mess and she said, NEVER AGAIN! I think she confused a CT scan w an MRI…I would have said something but she said she’d done it…Happy Hump Day

IFeel like I'm late to the rodeo
or the gun show
Confession: I skip reactions on a lot of the gun posts because I don't really know anything about guns, rifles, or ammo
pretty toys = pretty prices

They always dick you with the details, man
Sounds lovely! I love a good walk in the rain!!
Bummer... on the bright side... you were there for it and it was an oil rig and not MacD or something obscuring your view
Still the Office Overachiever I see

Thank you - spared me a rabbit hole
My dad had a short love affair with a Triumph when I was about 12 years old. Bold for a man w/ 8 kids at the time.
I was going to agree wholeheartedly - thought we were still talking cars
My wrists are messed up enough from computer keyboarding. I certainly don't have any business firing something that could shatter them... or my skull b/c clearly a safety helmet is also needed for this one?!?
I hope the only time you use it is at the range... for fun
My dad used to do that all the time.
7, 8, 9pm - movie starts
20 min start of film - dad's awake
middle of the movie - dad:
20 min end of film - dad's awake
Dad: I don't see why folks thought this was such a good movie

Don't get me wrong, as I've got several that I've never fired, but "you'll have that" when you buy 2 crates at a time.I have two guns that I have never fired. I have an 1873 Springfield Trapdoor. Technically it’s Mrs Wonderers. Shes never fired it either. It’s been in her family for ages. It’s 45-70, but you have to use government rounds for it. The new hotter loads are too much for it.
I also have a 1954 Baretta made m1 Garand that was made for the danish army. It’s slightly rare. It’s so nice and in such good shape I’ve never had the heart to fire it. It’s gorgeous. I’m sure it’s been fired before but has almost no wear.
I have a 1953 Polish made Mosin Nagant M44 carbine. It had to have been unfured. It was just when they were moving over to SKS and then to AK47s, so I think there’s a good chance it was never fired. Beautiful walnut finish. But I did fire it a few times.
I said hotter loads…
Time for a new PC. LolHappy Hump Day

I use Linux mint. Don't tell BillI've been using a Chromebook for several years now and I kinda like the whole thing. Cheaper'n an Apple thingie and less buggy than a PC.

I actually don’t have a laptop rn. I do t know if that’s a good thing or bad.
I appreciate how much faster and cleaner Linux is. Chromebook is a custom version of a Linux kernel hence why it worksFuck Bill.
It's a good place to be. I like the cheap bit. It's all backed up to the cloud. No bitching. I got a new one, plugged in my password, and everything was still there like it was the old machine.
