Then it became me.

I remember back in the olden daze all movies started at 7pm and 9pm. Maybe a few minor differences for long epics like Reds.

I miss going to the movies. We saw the Bob Dylan movie and the Led Zep documentary earlier this year.

I want to see Spinal Tap but my wife refuses - she says it’s too dumb!

I'm pretty sure I never saw my dad watch a movie, much less go to one.


Yet he professed to like Bad Day at Blackrock.

If there was a kid kicking a seat or some asshole on their phone or an elderly person whose hearing aid battery died? I was inevitably sitting within 3 seats of them... always.

So I like movies but not the movie theater experience

I scheduled 6 city inspections yesterday. I got three, two called to postpone until today, and one never called nor showed. I did pass the three that came out, no issues. Fuckin' city.

Except for me.. I get at least 4 hrs in the hospital today. Momma has not one but two MRI’s. Seriously. They can’t seem to nail down the source of her pain, so, two MRI’s. Ugh…I don’t know how she’s going to do it.

I think I’ve relayed the story of how I had an MRI and found out I was claustrophobic …

I’ve been looking at that Marlin for around 6 months…shoulda got it last spring at $800 n change. Now I’m seeing $1000 even on them. They’ve gotten great reviews from all the gun bubbas on the U-Toob. I want the .30-.30 cal

Nothing wrong with the .30-.30. I have several of them. Ended up with the 45-70 after a long debate about slow heavy bullets vs. brush in places we hunt.

Surprisingly, I've found the 45 to ruin less meat than faster smaller calibers on quartering shots. It makes a .45 cal hole all the way through. The smaller high velocity stuff has a larger shock pattern and messes stuff up more. Who knew???

Honestly, the biggest reason for a lever gun is how much easier it is to carry in one hand while walking/stalking. Most bolts feel like trying to carry the Thomas Inch dumbbell after a little way. The levers can be gripped and held onto so much better.
