Quick catch up and then offline for a while
I've read some avatars have been restored and/or made it through the moderation process after reloading them. Hoping it gets resolved soon but not losing any sleep.
How are the rest of you doing today?

Working week is 35 hours
Employees have a minimum of 30 days paid holiday.

We have 4 more city inspections today at work. We were 3-for-3 today. The other guys, not so much. Meh. And we lose Snake In The Grass after today.

It's also pack-'em-up day and road trip home. There be cats in the near future.

Yes and that was Dad, a very good painter and decorator who turned business stuff over to mom.

Same - dad worked and mom did all the bills/taxes
Dad was also banned from talking to telemarketers and door-to-door salespeople (back when the latter was a thing).

I watch my granddaughter this morning. Later off to play card games with old time friends.

My mom was the one that made sure the business ran... my dad just did the work.... now they are retired 60 yr anniversary coming up and their new job is doctor appointments

The anniversary not the dr apts - that's a job where I would have no objections were someone else in charge.

They are not so great at multitasking or working on several projects at once.

Looks like currently there's promising lab results but more clinical trials are needed to determine if this will be an effective treatment option in humans.
Worth a discussion w/ the oncologist IMHO.

I've seen enough to decide that it would be my personal first course of action, as the risk/reward ratio is astounding, but I wouldn't try to sway anyone else from their chosen treatment.

Well, I did some snooping around. It seems that any sexy avatars or pictures that are posted, have been banned. If you look at 1I posted yesterday, it said it wasn't available. It was just somebody wearing a short sweater. Nothing revealed but obviously it offended somebody. From what I understand a lot of people are leaving because they don't like it or some of the the threads artist photo posts. It doesn't make sense to me, but what do I know...

Well you want the good news or the bad?

Good news to lead. Momma made it out of her procedure with flying colors. Doc said she did great, and recovery was pretty painless as they had her on a drip. She spent the night and I brought her home yesterday to a bounding two year old G-granddaughter! She’s happy to be home but is starting to feel some discomfort. They have her on one of the Oxy pain meds.

Bad news. The procedure went well but unfortunately the cancer has spread to a muscle. They took a biopsy and we wont have the full picture till that comes in…hopefully before I get off vacation and can talk to doc. Radiation was mentioned and I have been researching some Keto and diet options that people say have slowed cancer. I’ll try and post some links later after coffee to get the pro’s feelings on some of those.

On the bright side. She’s not down about it. Facing it with positive attitude which is half the battle. Had a cousin who was given 1 yr. He said cancer wouldn’t kill him and lived 5. It got him eventually but on his terms. I’m hoping we can just kill it…fuck cancer.

I was on the phone on the patio, headed to the window to get a better wifi signal, pitch black night.... I went over one lounger, my knee went through the second lounger, dropping neither the phone or my smoke.
I got up, brushed my hair out of my face and kept talking.
Note: The loungers had been stored in the shop all winter and I had just put them there that afternoon!
She LOVES that infrared video of me, busting my ass!
