Nighty night cuppity cake. Glad you are feeling better
What happened to our Avatars????Night all... restart tomorrow!!
They are not really bothered about that. Working week is 35 hours (possible to extend up to 44 in exceptional circumstances but lots of paperwork to complete and signatures from all great-grandparents required)I love the idea of a 2 hour lunch. Just not endeared to the thought of extending the work day by another hour.![]()
That’s why there are spoons!I worked with an engineer who had Parkinson's.
I saw him trying to eat peas with a fork and after the 4th time his fork made it to his mouth, empty... he hollered "Dammit Bobby, don't EVER make peas without mashed potatoes again!"
Yes and that was Dad, a very good painter and decorator who turned business stuff over to mom. Many contractors are decent craftsmen who don't want to work for Da Man, but they often can be lousy businessmen. Then the Dollar-chasing begins in earnest.

Good morning diner denizens. It is weird what’s happening to Avatars.
It’s very humid today. I watch my granddaughter this morning. Later off to play card games with old time friends.
After reading about contractors and workers. You are making me glad I do not have any work on going and retired. You are more bad ass than me.
Have a good day.
I.read somewhere that in Germany office workers have to get so much sunlight in the office building... or some such thing....They are not really bothered about that. Employees have a minimum of 30 days paid holiday. There are also 11 public holidays per year and most employers grant these as paid holiday as well, though, if the public holiday falls on a weekend, it does not get moved to the next working day.
We call that here falling "ass over tea kettle"Been a good week so far. Got down to see mum and take her out to lunch. We then followed it with a walk around a local park. It was lovely but she was determined to go down the steepest path so I had to grab her by the collar to stop her going too fast. I hade visions of her going base over apex. Walk back up was harder but I found a meandering path that took the sting out of it… and a bench for a rest on the way. Her strength of spirit amazes me. I guess it’s a generational thing. They find every reason to do something as opposed to a current generation who find every reason not to?
Anyway enough of that I am going fishing!
Yay KITTEEENNNSSOkay, up. Avatar still present - for the moment. Maybe the Lit Poelease won't figure it out. We can always hope.
We have 4 more city inspections today at work. We were 3-for-3 today. The other guys, not so much. Meh. And we lose Snake In The Grass after today.
It's also pack-'em-up day and road trip home. There be cats in the near future.
My mom was the one that made sure the business ran... my dad just did the work.... now they are retired 60 yr anniversary coming up and their new job is doctor appointmentsI have sent that happen more often than not.
It never worked for me.
Women left.
Bills remained . . . .

Our home office is this old ancient building. Not too much sunlight and three or four people crammed into a room. No air conditioning.I.read somewhere that in Germany office workers have to get so much sunlight in the office building... or some such thing....
Likes2 you are up
