Had to spend an hour and a half 2 days ago outside changing the ac units capacitor. Figures hottest most humid day and second floor unit dies. Thank God it was the compacitor and not the condenser. $10.94 fix... and I even remembered to de-energize the capacitor this time...lol

I spent two weeks in the hospital for surgery. I was confined to bed for days... I remember one sponge bath and was so happy when I could get out of bed and get a shower... I learned to appreciate and what they do and what they have to endure too.

Yes - nurses are amazing and put up with an awful lot of awful at times

I would do my best to wash hair too but that was tougher...

1st knee replacement I went to transitional care for @ a week before going home. I had long hair then and knew I might not get an actual shower until I got home. So I put it back in a braid. One of the nurses asked me on day 4 if I'd like my hair washed.
I was fine w/ hobo baths until I got home, but that shampoo?

I was in a private room. I think because I knew a good friend of the surgeon. There was a camera that could be panned around the room remotely. I saw it moving one time and I waved. Why would they have a camera?

Well the only time we had a camera in the er was for psych patients... but they have them for critically ill people too... sometimes they will have a nurse watching a bank of monitors to have 24 hr eyes on the patients

While I have discovered I'm incompatible with most "Southern" foods, grits are a delicious delivery system for garlic and cheese... just keep your shrimps to yourself s'il vous plaît
