The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Had to spend an hour and a half 2 days ago outside changing the ac units capacitor. Figures hottest most humid day and second floor unit dies. Thank God it was the compacitor and not the condenser. $10.94 fix... and I even remembered to de-energize the capacitor this time...lol

No shit??!?

That's quite impressive.

No, it's quite fucking impressive!!!!

Good morning and catching up from yesterday. Lots of back and forth about “musty balls” so it must have been a slow day. So I didn’t miss much.

My granddaughter comes for a couple of hours today to give her mom time for punishing yoga. The younger generation amazes me.

To all nurses, suggestions on a renal diet! I have stage 3a renal failure. I am not concerned as I am on a good type 2 diabetic diet. I just need to refine the diet.

Thanks nurses.

Pardon my absence, but I hope ALL OF MY Beloved Spooners are doing well, taking time to "smell the flowers" and enjoy each other!

...I'm home (but barely) as my Goddess and I have been traveling to a festival, selling Her books and meeting fellow authors...
It's "demanding" on one's schedule, but I promise you, I wouldn't trade it for the world!
No worries, brother. Priorities!

Holy shit. You are amazing!

Was it the flux capacitor, tho?? 😂

Sacrilege.... on the other hand cantaloupe smells and tastes like musty ball sweat

I am a nurse .... I have taken care of men with musty ball sweat before you ask.....
I spent two weeks in the hospital for surgery. I was confined to bed for days, not sure how many, what with morphine and fentnayl. I remember one sponge bath and was so happy when I could get out of bed and get a shower. Not being able to get up and move and having the breathing tube taken out was rough. I learned to appreciate and what they do and what they have to endure too.

A quiet hello from the shadows of a booth near the back...
I’ve wandered in, drawn by the scent of stories, mischief, and midnight confessions.
No name tag, no loud entrance—just a curious soul with a taste for the unexpected.
Mind if I linger awhile?
Please do, we are a well behaved crowd. Be sure to read the introduction, don't be like me! Welcome!
