The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Just beautiful weather here today and for the week. Mother nature is trying to lull us into a false sense of security before hurricane season. I got a new battery for the generator and took out the gas from last year. Getting ready. Today I will check the boards for the garage door reinforcement and put new SS anchors in the floor.
Lots of preparation! 🌀 🌀

Good morning all. I’ll be up early for the next two months, I have to be in the office by 6:00 AM so while nobody else is here I figure that gives me about 30 minutes to pop in and say hello. Hope you all have a good day and may your ☕️ be strong.
Sometimes it's really nice to get in before anyone else.

The power pack is no biggie... where the morning REALLY gets good, is the 10 man crew that we were supposed to haul to the platform arrived. Turns out, they're supposed to stay on the boat for the duration of the job (estimated 2 weeks)... no groceries were ordered, no cook was contracted...
Max capacity of my vessel is 16 people, it's maxed. Thus far, my Monday has been a full blown shitshow before the sun even came up....
But at least I didn't get struck by lightning! 🤣
Will they have to fish for their supper? 😅🎣😅

I may be getting this cat... he is a very friendly cat that showed up at her house skinny and hungry. She brought him in and is getting him to settle down. Gonna vet him and get labs neutered ears cleaned etc. if it works out I will take him.... she was the president of the humane society in her county for 15 yrs. The only thing that she won't give him to me for is if he is feline leukemia positive (she has her reasons and explained to me but it is too long to type).

I have q few i like. Once he gains some weight ( he is super skinny) he is gonna be a big boy.

He needs a name before going to the vet.
Pretty boi! 😍 😍

He looks like an Atticus to me! 😅😅

Quite the legacy!!
I remember the tutorial from my dad about "how to share the road with truckers". It started with Respect the Truck, Respect the Driver. 🚚🚛
Went on about how big trucks need so much more space for stopping and then all the different ways to communicate with headlights and turn signals.
Your dad may be one of the only drivers left on the road who still knows 'em. Today's drivers certainly don't seem to be in the know.
My dad did the same with all of us!
