Oooh, good memories! I remember watching that with my grands when I was far too young to follow all but the simplest jokes.
I've gone back and watched some of their material. It's so good. Her comedy is genius. Even now, you have to be quick not to let some of those quips fly over your head.

George would later say he wouldn't have been successful without her writing and making him look good.

I may be getting this cat... he is a very friendly cat that showed up at her house skinny and hungry. She brought him in and is getting him to settle down. Gonna vet him and get labs neutered ears cleaned etc. if it works out I will take him.... she was the president of the humane society in her county for 15 yrs. The only thing that she won't give him to me for is if he is feline leukemia positive (she has her reasons and explained to me but it is too long to type).

I have q few i like. Once he gains some weight ( he is super skinny) he is gonna be a big boy.

He needs a name before going to the vet.

He was a roadster and 2 million Miller accident free. He was inducted in to the landstar hall of fame the year he retired.... he worked there 40 years... he was 83 and sick of all the stupid drivers.... he loves being a truck driver
Quite the legacy!!
I remember the tutorial from my dad about "how to share the road with truckers". It started with Respect the Truck, Respect the Driver. 🚚🚛
Went on about how big trucks need so much more space for stopping and then all the different ways to communicate with headlights and turn signals.
Your dad may be one of the only drivers left on the road who still knows 'em. Today's drivers certainly don't seem to be in the know.

There are few left.... and they are retiring quickly... his best friend Tony just retired and they have worked together at 2 companies for over 50 years

It's "off/on" at night, not "high/low"... I don't like a vehicle that I can't control the headlights on manually!
