The 3rd Annual New York S/M Film Festival & other fetish events

This event is taking place October 10th to October 13, 2002, in New York City.

I love movies, and we have often discussed them in this forum. It occured to me this would be a perfect way for us east coasters to meet if so inclined.

There are lots of parties and fetish events planned, so it is the perfect way for some folk to dabble in public play.

So I have started this thread for us to discuss events like these.

If you live on the west coast, maybe you know of some that are upcoming, for the BDSMers on that side of the Mississippi.

I'd love to be there, too, but NY is a very long way from the San Francisco Bay area and i won't be able to make the trip (this year, anyway).

I'm a huge movie fan, though.

Let's do. We can talk movies and if there are events on the west coast, I am hoping the west coast folks will post them.

Any really good S & M movies about? I will search for the titles that will be shown. Maybe some folks have seen them.

Crimes of Passion - 1984

Has anyone seen this Ken Russell film? It has Katherine Turner as a clothing designer by day hooker by night who specializes in S & M scenes.


It had some very hot scenes in it. Tony Perkins plays a psychotic priest.

Yea I have, long go. Not much sticks out inmy memory though.

Ithink that's becouse Body heat was the best movie she's done in my opinion

I'll look forward to it. have you attended any other big events since you've been near NYC?

I've been to a lot of the big Chicago parties over the years, and to Beat Me in St. Louis.

I have not been in NYC since before 9/11. And have never been to The Hellfire club or Paddles. But bitchboy and I plan to go on October.

I have been to La Chateau in CT once. No munches and no play parties.

Is this JUST a film festival? I'm not really into just going to watch some themed porn...

Taking for granted there is more than just the film festival...

I'm scared...hehe..really, I've never been to any organized event having to do with this stuff...I've never been with anyone who considers himself an experianced dom...It was just something that came about. Hell, I could be doing it all wrong, and wouldn't that just suck?

Oh, and since it's mostly saying SM this and SM that..i'm wondering if there is any place for someone who is 98% into the D/s...

You might want to check out the link to find out who is sponsoring the Film Festival and what are the events of the weekend, before assuming this is about "themed porn".

i'm not assuming anything I looked at the link but only saw tickets to the film parts and nothing about anything else other than why they are sponsoring it....

I'll look again maybe I missed something I have a habit of only skimming websites quickly
