I had to go re-read the eligibility, when I saw that I was a nominee in two categories, anal and exhibitionism & voyeur. When I didn’t place at the time back during the monthlies I assumed it was all over. Honored to be here.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in Letters & Transcripts, and for a story that I love but that hasn't scored particularly well.

Found my story in Fetish. I wonder who nominated me?
I had to read and re-read this a few times:

“At the end of the year, we have 12 nominees in each category. The 5 stories in each category with the best voting scores at the end of the year will go on to the final voting. One will be selected in each category – by voting in this contest – as the top story for that year. If there are less than 5 nominees in a category, the top scoring submissions in that category during the calendar year become eligible.”

So, you were a monthly award top story for your category, whether or not you won THE (overall) monthly award. And also, top five among the category winners for the year. An erectoral college, in a way. ;-).

Thanks jsmiam, I didn't see that.

So it's a site nomination based on actual reader responses, rather than, "I'll nominate Buddy X" - that's good to know. I didn't know the story had topped one of the monthly lists - that's pretty cool.

"Dying is easy, comedy is hard."

I am very pleased to be nominated in the Humor and Satire category. Thanks to everyone who voted for White Castle Christmas, whether you think Rudolph counts as an official Santa's reindeer, or not.

While it looks unlikely to win, it sure felt nice to be nominated. This story comes as close to "bestseller" status as I've ever gotten on Lit. 1 MIL+ views. Over 350 comments. Good luck to all the nominees in all the categories!

I'm running dead last in Non-Erotic Poetry, which is appropriate as I merely dabble in it. Still, an honor to be included even if I bring in the back of the parade.

I was honestly pretty shocked to see one of my Ideal Suburbia stories (my first series on Literotica) get a nod. This is so cool, guys. Thanks to all the voters. I had doubted that that series had enough readers for such a thing. And I love being in this category.

I was shocked to see that my Mature story 'I'm Dreaming of a Hot Christmas' was nominated. There are just so many good stories, I'm honored to have one of my works included.

Another Christmas story nominated!
I suspect Holiday stories get some bonus voting because of the contest. The Submissions are also more concentrated, and every category gets represented. It's easier for stories to get lost in the crowd in the month-to-month volume of submissions, because most people browse by category. I doubt they get singled out by voters, they just have the wind at their back to begin with. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the contest entries are fun to read.

The story is hilarious, and a little over the top...but not by much! I worked in an all night diner between the business district and the "red light" district for a few months. Not too far over the top at all. Quite a few "Rudolphs," Dancers, Prancers, and Vixens came in for a late night bite.

I did not even know about the Erotic Art category, or where nominations were being made. The voting thread says 2021 Readers Choice Awards???

Thanks to whoever may have nominated one of mine.:)

I didn't realize I'd been nominated in Erotic Art and Erotic Comics. Very cool, I'm honored.
