Vice President Mike Pence and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) were among the political leaders who attended the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference.

On Friday, AIPAC announced that two attendees had tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus.

Israel ordered the self-quarantine of citizens who had attended the conference, but there are no such precautions in the United States.

Fox’s Bartiromo raises red flag and predicts ‘hundreds of thousands’ of US coronavirus cases

Maria Bartiromo predicted Thursday during an appearance on Fox News that “hundreds of thousands” of people will be infected with the coronavirus in the U.S. as disinformation continued to spread on the right-leaning network about the outbreak.

“I think you have to expect constant volatility. It’s going to be down 1,000, up 1,000. A lot of back and forth. A lot of volatility,” Bartiromo told Fox News host Bill Hemmer when asked how the coronavirus would impact the stock market. “Why? Because there’s so much nervousness on Wall Street and really throughout the country. We don’t know enough. We have not gotten enough information. The administration tried to get ahead of this last week. You know that. They said we will see more cases.”

At least 226 people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with the coronavirus since Thursday evening. Fourteen of them have died, all but one in the Seattle area. More than 100,000 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus worldwide.

The Associated Press issued a bombshell report on Saturday evening that the White House overruled medical experts who had sought to issue a warning to America’s seniors.

“The White House overruled health officials who wanted to recommend that elderly and physically fragile Americans be advised not to fly on commercial airlines because of the new coronavirus, a federal official told The Associated Press. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention submitted the plan this week as a way of trying to control the virus, but White House officials ordered the air travel recommendation be removed, said the official who had direct knowledge of the plan,” the AP reported.

She recounted how former chief of staff Mick Mulvaney reportedly suggested White House staffers read the book A First-Rate Madness: Uncovering the Links Between Leadership and Mental Illness by Nassir Ghaemi, who is the director of the mood disorders program at Tufts Medical Center.

Dow futures have dropped more than 1,000 points, CNN reported Sunday afternoon.

As the coronavirus is locking down businesses, schools, and other public spaces, the market appears to be reacting. The hospitality industry is already one of those being hurt by the outbreak. Italy typically has 15 percent of its economy coming in from tourism, and they see a dramatic decrease in travel to the country, particularly northern regions.

Sunday afternoon, the State Department issued a warning to anyone that has any underlying health issues should stay off of cruise ships.

Falling oil prices don’t necessarily mean the same thing as a tumbling stock market, she explained. As Saudi Arabia and Russia “play a game of chicken” over oil prices, it’s creating a price war. Normally that would be something to benefit consumers, but in this case, she explained it isn’t.

“We desperately need fiscal policy to bridge big disruptions for people — some people not able to earn money. Some people without sick leave — as we deal with the crisis here in the U.S.,” said Swonk.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is under his own self-imposed quarantine after it was revealed he interacted with the coronavirus-infected person at the conservative conference CPAC ten days ago.

The incubation period for coronavirus is around five days, and it has been ten days, said Fox News reporter Chad Pergram. So, Cruz doesn’t believe he has the disease but said that “out of an abundance of caution, and because of how frequently I interact with my constituents..I have decided to remain at my home in Texas this week, until a full 14 days have passed since the CPAC interaction.”
