First ever Lit thread recycle ♻️purged 🫵 highjacked

Happy belated Canadian Thanksgivening to you , ours is next month. Do Canadians play hockey or football on your Thanksgivng as a tradition ?

There is usually a CFL Thanksgiving Classic held Thanksgiving Weekend. This year no season. It not like the games you have. I was fortunate enough to see the Egg Bowl last year at Mississippi State on Thanksgiving Day. The First US college game I attended. It was awesome.

Thank you!

Thanks for creating this thread. I had figured out the signature block awhile back. It’s a great tip.

I’m a lurker. Read a lot, post a little.

Am shy about posting but do occasionally.

Thanks for the tip on 100 posts to get an avatar. I wondered about that since I first created my account.

Great info. I’ve added it to my subscribed threads.

:rose: You have , many times over :D. You have a boldness about you that reflex’s in your posts. Kudos , good for U.

Thank you. So far I'm just having fun, and I guess that's the key to enjoying the site.

This is your thread pilot typing. Everything is looking good , @50plus cat nice avatar
:D congrats on getting your wings :rose:

Thank you Fingerfuxs :) It took me longer to get to 100 posts than I thought. Like you, I may change out my avatar, as while I like it, I think I can do better.

Do you have all of these options yet ? There are 2 other places you can put visuals. Signature panel , profile ( what viewer clicks into here ) and of course the avatar.

I do have those extra things in my control panel, yes. I totally missed the profile pic  thanks for pointing it out to me.

I'm still debating on whether or not to jazz up my signature. I'd like to pretty it up more, but at the same time not to make it so obnoxious that it's distracting. Trying to find that perfect balance.

You can go step further to and add a Picture on the authors side of the site. If you add favorite authors you will know what that side is. You can make adjustments their to that bio at will anytime you want. Unlike this site where the profile aka bio section is disabled.

I have a profile set up over there as well, but I don't have a picture on it yet. I added some extra things to the body of it, in case people want to find out more about me (or not).

Just some advice from an old school guy...Don't rush. Be engaged. The Playground is a very friendly and accepting place. Be yourself and don't over sell. Good luck and enjoy yourselves, newbies. You will be fine.

Thanks for setting this up - it's full of useful tips for newbies.

I think you'll find it very helpful. I'm a newbie still in my 30 day Lit trial period, and this thread has been extremely beneficial to me. Fingerfuxs deserves mega kudos for creating and maintaining it.

And welcome to Lit fellow newbie!

Love that there’s a place for questions and advice for newbies!

There’s one thing I haven’t been able to find instructions on:
I’m not sure what to call it other than a user’s title, but it’s those words under the username next to their posts that, for us relative newbies, says something like Virgin or Really Experienced or Literotica Guru, but for others it looks like something that can be edited. Is it a post count that we have to get to to unlock, like the avatar and profile picture?

This is something that updates to preset titles at specific post counts (virgin, experienced, guru), but we used to be able to edit it once we got to 1000 posts. This ability also disappeared when we lost the ability to edit our profiles.

Was passing by and saw the door was open so thought I'd grab a seat but wouldn't mind a glass of milk... Whole milk if you hsave it.

Greetings lurkers , newbies and anyone else that might peek in today. Enjoy the space , it’s links and newbie tips. The observations scattered among the beginning posts are just that , observations, nothing more nothing less.

Thank you for this.

You are very welcome , hopefully it was helpful with those newbie questions about some of the site functions.

Yes, it's been very helpful. Between this thread and some in the "How To" forum, most of my questions have been answered.

Everyday is a adventure , if you approach it that way. Things we learned yesterday.
1. It's really easy to make a bio and start a favorites list on the on the other side of the lit site. * Authors
2. To go back in to edit , not so easy.
3. Pics are still a work in progress.
4. There are totally differant ebbs and flows in the differant sections of the site. Entering through the new posts entrance to view a thread that's getting attention or active if you will , sometimes it helps to see where that thread is.
5. The ladies that make thier *own threads , are interesting. It's like their nest , or virtual she shed. Depending on their online persona 's most are a very interesting thread read. Kudos ladies :rose:

I’d say this thread (and again thank you for creating it) is for practice tooo.

I recently learned how to put multiple quotes in a reply...

Happy Hump-day Lit-ors

Edit: I thought it was Tuesday

I'm very slowly working toward 100 posts. This is 28? I think?

Great thread, I have gotten many questions answered here.

Thank you Fingerfuxs for keeping it going!!

Bill's mask is likely made out of his own underwear. Luanne has probably found a cure by accident.

On my way to 100 posts. This is 42. Glad to have a spot to post and make progress towards that goal. Old timers might laugh but for us noobs it seems a very lofty goal

Fingerfuxs you are a genius. Your recent advice is working out well for me. I've made several new friends and had some great conversations based on it. Thank you again for thread!

Merry Christmas to everyone out there. I hope its a wonderful day for all of you

I've noticed more and more users have a Team PM link in their signature block. I like the idea of having a place to click to send PM and it shows availability willingness to have people send PM to the user. Do you know how I can add the "TEAM PM" link and the "about Team PM" in my signature? Thanks!

I don’t know , perhaps ask someone who has that in their signature panel. Or just change your text in the hyperlink that you have to “Team PM “

I’m guessing it’s another older feature or fade for lack of another word , that went around the site sometime ago that isn’t available anymore. My other guess would be it’s something to do with the other side of the site “ the authors side “ that section has a direct email link to the user for comments and such.

Thank you for your reply. I will ask around. Much appreciated
