Just got an invite to go out to the pub and club tonight, and my immediate thought was 'Fuck no! Way too expensive, plus I need to find a des to bring me home!' (No taxis come out here.)

These days, I'd much rather sit home in front of the fire with a glass of red and a good book

Fuck it - had to happen sooner or later I guess.

What about you?
A night out or a night in?

In. (Old fucker.)

Plus I have better wine here.

What's your fave? I was given a bottle of Four Sisters merlot for my bday last year and kinda got hooked.

Staying in is much less work!

Cabs from California, mostly. Some Malbecs. From your part of the world, I like some of Penfolds stuff.

Penfolds not on my list anymore.
I've been getting wines from boutique vitners.... I live on the West Tamar which is a big wine-growing region.

In.

Out would be going to the local dive down the road. At least I could actually walk home if needed.

Hah - I had you picked as an 'out'!
Shows how wrong I can be with categorising people here

Definitely an innie. Plus, it's cheaper and I don't have to listen to crappy karaoke. The last time I went was Cinco de Mayo, at 3 PM for free taco bar. I met a girlfriend and my next door neighbor happened to be there and he bought a round and then proceeded to text me how we were invited to come back to his place for wine.

Oh God! Is there anything worse than karaoke?
Sometimes I thought my ears would bleed.

in. always in. out means you listen to shitty music, pay $3 for a beer, and possibly have to listen to an idiot drunkenly ramble, and more than likely be shot down by the women (unless she weighs 250 pounds-not going there).

I got lines

They may NOT work

But I got lines

Heh.... I picked your lines as being more of the powder variety!
And you as an 'in' kinda guy.

It's been a long time since a beer was $3 at any pub here!

So, big decision.... am I having merlot by the fire, or bourbon?
Choices, choices!
