That thing you excel at

I think I'm alright at group stuff. That's probably my thing, if anything is. Threesomes, gang bangs, a couple of mfff's, a classroom of girls learning about one male volunteer's sexual anatomy, a relationship between one guy and 9 women, and currently working on a lesbian story about all the members of a sorority getting together.

I write strokers, pretty much, but I think i do an ok job of making the characters at least somewhat engaging and fun.

I'd say my strength is writing the juicy bits. Less so the plot and connecting scenes lol.

How do you keep up with which she and her is which she and her in a MFFF...or do you just keep using the names?

I do tend to use names more than I might with fewer characters. Or, often, variations of names - Katie/Kat, Cassandra/Cassie/Cas and Kelly/Kel, etc. Sprinkle in some 'the other girl' or 'the older girl' here and there. Or 'her sister' or 'the roommates' and that kind of thing.

You guys are trying, but you are still somewhat shy about this. It is truly remarkable how many people feel this is putting them on the spot. We are certainly not shy about other things, so this is just about overcoming that polite modesty we are all feeling ;)

A few months ago, I'd have been happy to participate, but in the current trolly environment in the forum, I'd feel like I was taping a "One Bomb Me" sign on my back.

Okay, I'll go again.

This will sound weird, but:

I think I'm pretty good at the Average Story.

I know, neither a Humble Brag nor Self Effacing.

But hear me out.

I don't write sprawling novels with massive, detailed worlds and a plethora of characters.

I write short, simple little tales, most involving just two people. Although I do have more expanded casts in several, of course.

I've written a variety of genres; specializing in none really: incest, fantasy, Exhibition/Voyeur, BDSM, Fetish, Humor...I'm sure I missed a few.

I think my simplest tales are still fun and relatable; my more complex still easy to grasp.

I don't have the huge following that many of you do, nor the view numbers that reflect that.

But my readers are loyal and positive and leave me nice comments, and most of my stories are over 4.5, many close, and only one below a 4.

I'll never claim I'm a "better" writer than anyone else.

I will say I'm pretty good at what I do.

Ok, very much a two edged sword, but I'm good at building the setting of the story up beyond any reasonable level of detail. There's always a ridiculous amount of stuff I have plotted out that doesn't even need to be in the story.

Additional plus point is it helps me be consistent across stories in what is a shared universe for them.

Downside, waaaay too much daydreaming.

This sounds very familiar. Looking at some of the relationship history of my celebrity characters I too build up backstory and setting with an abundance of detail. In my defense, the majority of it is relevant.

I also excel at unexpected spins on some celebrity depictions in my alternate universe. And at no two characters being exactly the same. Yeah, they’re all promiscuous and beautiful but they aren’t clones.

I see you are against the "Chekov's gun" philosophy in writing. I love it ;)

I like to think I'm good at being angsty, but maybe not.
This thread, among other things, is about not being a pussy when it comes to voicing what you believe are your own strengths in writing.
That was a pathetic attempt. Try again :p
