That danged Red H

That doesn't answer my question, though, does it? One moment the OP is complaining that their story is stuck on 4.49, the next they're making statements about who the incels of the AH are.

I infer that their score went down after they drew attention to it, but how does that relate to incels? Or is "incel" supposed to be interpreted as a general insult? Or more specifically, someone who read the OP's story and decided that it didn't rate 5 stars?
OP feels like they were trolling.

I thought for a hot minute that they might be an alt for stacnash, but the tone is different.

No, but some explanation of why specific members of the AH are being labelled as incels might be warranted.

Well, have you ever seen these screenshot posts about guys asking out girls over a messenger app, but the girl isn't interested in hooking up, so the guys call her a slut?

I think this is basically what happened here.

OP came in talking about "chasing that red H", NEEDING that red H, complaining about how their story isn't performing so well, and then asking people to give them a five-star-rating so they can continue masturbating to their own author page. And when they felt put down, they deleted their original post before throwing whatever insult they felt would hurt us the most... followed by the always effective "I have friends! They can hurt you!" threat.

OP is the literary equivalent of a nice guy.

It may be true that calling attention to your own story is a bad thing. I reminds me of how Party meeting attendees in the Stalinist Soviet Union had to avoid missteps or they might be sent to the Gulags. It could be something minor, but the point was intimidation, including the other members.

Or course that is an exaggeration in this context. But a lot of people out there would like to be little Stalins. Fortunately, they only have social media to flaunt whatever power they've got.

P.S.: This is the second time I've mentioned Stalin in this thread.

In olden times, they would make women wear them if they were caught doing salacious things for money in the town square. This was especially common in the South, where public education was not as common, and nobody realized they were misspelling ‘whore’ for like sixty years.
And nobody realized that "hors doeuvres" had nothing to do with starters for prostitutes.
