Thanks, Biden!!!

The civil population has also increased by roughly 6.3 million since the pandemic began, meaning those new jobs represent an even smaller share of the population.
Yes, why aren’t all those babies born in the last three years employed yet?

does aj really not realize that those numbers he spewed make biden's growth rate even more impressive?

"first, the wetbacks took all our high-paying jobs but now the infants are attacking the workforce too!"

man, that was the laugh i didn't know i needed today.

Biden has gotten more consumer-supporting legislation enacted in his first two years than any president has back to FDR. Republican propagandists are treasonous for spinning lies on this to promote fearmongering among the public. What they should be doing is engaging and helping to pass legislation with their constituents' needs and their principles given a chance to be included. But they show that they don't give a shit about their constituents' needs and that Republicans no longer have principles.

And the board Trumpettes are supporting this seditionist lying.

How about those gas/energy prices?

Kudos to Biden! By raising them significantly, he is taking us green!

About those 510,00 new jobs
Cato

The graph shows the number of private employees always falls quite dramatically every January, after holiday shopping, and 2023 was certainly no exception. This January’s job loss was slightly less than January 2007 or January 2020 (if such pre‐recession data provide any comfort), so it looks like a big gain in such relative terms. The fallacy that “employers added a robust 517,000 jobs last month” confounded a statistician’s seasonal adjustment with an actual increase in the number of people collecting paychecks. There were nearly 2.2 million fewer people on private payrolls in January than December, and that did not “boost their overall incomes.” …

Hourly earnings in the private sector slowed to a 3.6% annual rate (0.3% this January), down from 4.8% in December, 5.2% in November and 8% in January of 2022. There is no shred of evidence of accelerating private wage gains, without which Fed officials’ banal “tight labor market” mantra is pointless.

[I am very skeptical of that 517K claim from the BLS too, for different reasons but leading back to the same conclusion. Adding that many jobs should have significantly impacted the labor participation ratios, but they didn’t budge at all. The annual adjustments also added 1.2 million people to the overall labor supply at the same time as less than half of those added as employed. It’s entirely an artifact of the annual BLS adjustments, and I’m very sure Jerome Powell will see right through it. Look to ADP’s report of 106,000 new jobs added in January as a more accurate reflection of the current employment situation. — Ed]

The rights move for good employment news is always to dust off the labor participation rate. (Which seems to get lost during Republican administrations oddly)

right's

and does it? Seems the Left would bring it up, a lot...
The left barely mentions it. It's a shit measure of things as it obscures retirement, women who drop out to raise kids...etc. Obviously someone likes it, else they'd come up with something new.

Additionally, you're putting words in my mouth (metaphorically) as I never posited that. You're using someone else's words, but then again, over and over you have proved that you read shallowly without comprehension looking for "enemies" to attack. It's very pathetic, pedantic and pathologically childish.

Since I never said that, that must be the explanation unless you're simply just laying hoping to get support from your fellow Leftists like zipperhead.

Yes, you say that a lot. You absolutely are right leaning....so label it however you want.

You brought it up in your quote indicating you agree with the quote. Backtracking notwithstanding.

If you don't wish to discuss things in your quote, then don't include it in it.

President Joe Biden vowed Tuesday to keep Social Security and Medicare on their current course toward insolvency, promising to block any congressional attempts to reduce benefits in the two major entitlement programs.

And Republicans loudly agreed.

"If anyone tries to cut Social Security," Biden said during the State of the Unionaddress, "if anyone tries to cut Medicare, I will stop them. I will veto it."

Except, well, it's not clear that anyone is trying to cut them. Republican leaders have also said they won't consider cuts to Social Security or Medicare as part of the upcoming debt ceiling negotiations—something Biden acknowledged after Republican members of Congress loudly protested his characterization of their plans during the speech. "I guess there's no problem," he declared.

But there is a problem. Social Security will be insolvent by 2034. One of the trust funds for Medicare will be insolvent even sooner. When insolvency hits, both programs will be subject to mandatory benefit cuts. The exact size of the cuts will depend on payroll tax collections in that year, but the current estimate is that Social Security will be able to pay only 80 percent of promised benefits in 2034.

I don't think anyone wants it fixed when the goal is to terrorize/intimidate the elderly into voting for you.
