I agree and would also say don't cry "wolf" unless you
truly mean it. So many people who do care get put off
by false 'wolf cries'.
Thank goodness someone noticed/cared and took action.

I'm glad he will be able to get the help he needs now. Gives you a warm feeling that not everyone walks past those in need.
