Happily living in San Antonio here!

Looks like the latest storms are passing us by - good thing, we don't need any more of our "Spring Rains" this July.

The trick to heavy rainfall in San Antonio is for our local authorities to put us on into the water rules - reducing yard watering when the aquifer level is down. The day after it kicked it, we got 2 inches of rain and it didn't stop for ten days...

Well to all who was just slammed with these rains, Hope yall are fairing well. I am about a block off of Canyon Lake and water was 30 feet from me but rains got in . But to all who had losses, my prayers go out to you and Be ready tropical storm coming upon us and another round expected. ..............Still awaiting for the Arc to come by lol. Becareful my fellow bros and sis's take care

I am in Austin, we did not get as much rain as SA....but we have had our share....I hate it all the lakes are banned till furthur notice Look out San Antonians more rain is supposed to be on the way We are Texans we don't know what to do with this much wet stuff!

I have found that most people that "aren't fond of Texas" aren't actually disappointed in the state, but just happen to have a bad experience in the state. I've had bad experiences in just about every state in the union, but I don't then say the State is horrible.

Are you hanging out with the wrong people? Going to the wrong places? If you don't think Texas is the Greatest place on earth, then it might not be Texas that has the problem.

Yey, Midtown, when I lived there it was truly dangerous. Now it's just a mess, thanks to the city's lack of respect for neighborhoods and small business. Ever go to Helios on your cruises? Erotic poetry ever Wednesday at 11:00 PM and who knows what else the other nights!

I didn't know about Helios! Where is it?

You have to admit, the lack of crack houses is a definite plus in the new midtown. I'm at Post Midtown Square, which is nice because it's got European-style 4-story buildings that take up the whole block, have generous brick sidewalks around, ample parallel street parking, and open courtyards in the center.
