Texas should be proud and this is why the death penalty is wrong

I did not accuse anything. It was framed as a question. You claim to be a Marine yet you react like a little sissy.
It's in keeping. I always thought the marines considered themselves and each other to be tough SOB's, but Vet doesn't want gays in the military because he's afraid some straight marines will get made fun of and their feelings will be hurt.

Obviously it's superior in your mind if you're going to defend it against the lawfully enacted consequences of the law.
Nice sidestep of the response to the salient part of your question...which you obviously asked in order to not answer mine.

You thinking a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, amounts to mob rule....
Either you're ignoring for convenience sake, or don't understand, that that doesn't mean all laws should be voted on.

Does you wife know that if she was raped and murdered by a known repeat offender that you would defend his right to live as superior to hers?

I had a few professors who believed it. During my internship one of my clients was gang raped, and used some hate words for the guys, during our session. My clinical perfesser was outraged that I didnt stop the session to fuss at the womans racism. Racist words are worse than gang rape. Today she'd be prosecuted cus she didnt like it.

We should send all the people on death row to your house merc.

No, we should lock them up without a chance for parole, unless they are exonerated by further investigation, like the person in the OP who was murdered by the state in a case of false identity.

Shit happens. Look at Fast & Furious. Federal killings.

I agree, so far as your post goes, but the fact is there's no need for the state o execute criminals. It accomplishes nothing. There's never been any proof of deterrence value and the cost is more than life in prison, as has been shown a million times. It's revenge, pure and simple, not even an effective punishment, since the condemned doesn't feel it. It just makes no sense at all. Put 'em in a cell, feed 'em enough to stay alive, let 'em stew about what they did. Much worse punishment than killing them, and it effectively eliminates the threat of repeat offense.

Sure merc.

Oh common perg....that would save shit loads of tax payer money, save the CRJ system time and resources as well as making sure you don't execute any innocent people. A ridiculous idea... party pooper :D

I keep trying to stop making sense so I too can be one of the cowards on here like Vette. I just can't help myself.

Internet hero, good job merc.

Is there a more cowardly act on a forum like this than putting someone on ignore and then continuing to argue with them? He's afraid of being proved wrong, like miles. Absolute cowardice. What else can you call it?

I'll give vette one thing....he's right. It is the voters, they want to pay for it and live with arbitrary executions on their conscience....democracy is a bitch too.

The whole "right's for criminals" is bullshit though imo.

Lock them in a box and toss the key...slip them a bowl of gruel each day and a glass of water. Tax payers shouldn't be buying criminals college educations, health care, cable TV and internet either. You know....shit they don't even get.

I agree with all of this.
