Texas Roll Call!

I hope you're all staying safe and finding ways to keep warm. Some of you won't see this, without a way to access the internet. But I'm praying for all of you. My son is in Texas now, traveling in a van that's currently got mechanical issues. But it's equipped with propane heat, and insulated plumbing for hot water so he's ok. i wish the same for y'all.

We count our good fortunes or dumb luck that we haven't lost power, yet.

Possibly the large hotel nearby put us into a blackout exemption zone.

I think we have enough propane to provide heat for 7-10 days.

We did lose water for 24 hours. Even now, the pressure is low and we have to boil all water. Not enough pressure for a shower, but we can flush the toilets.

No getting out or going to the store. The only way out of our neighborhood is up a hill that is completely iced over. Not passable, even with 4wd. We're having to make the food we have stretch out to the weekend.

But I can't complain as millions of Texans are in a far worse situation than we are.

Stay warm and stay safe. We may be close to the end of this winter storm.

Hang in there folks. We have maybe one or two nights left of this. At least in Houston.

Stay safe and warm.

i hope this is the last night of this shit.
Been staying with extended family since Sunday night.
My RV had water freeze - Due to the park not protecting the water pipes properly! Then had a pipe bust because of that! Then power off / on. left propane on so hoping no further issues - once the park gets there stuff fixed.
Crazy Texas weather.......
:rose:

Snowed all day, adding a couple more inches to what we already have. I felt so fortunate to have a hot cup of coffee today, not having to sit in my car to warm up and charge my phone. Hopefully tomorrow will bring warmer temperatures and relief for those that are still doing without. Still no water, but I'll survive.

Stay safe and well.

Elec and water back on yesterday. Boil water in effect for Houston until what's looking like Monday.

I hope everyone is okay..

Dribble, if things remain post-apocalyptic I want to more in with you, please. :)

Lost your power? Be smart. Pitch a tent in the living room and camp out. It will be 60 degrees inside the tent easily Just keep the moisture from condensing on the inside of the tent. Have fun for Christ's sake.

< If you cover the cinder blocks with foil, you would be SHOCKED at how much heat is reflected back. The terra cotta pot holds the heat and acts as a radiator

Well the sun is out and temps are rising. Hopefully above freezing soon and then the thaw :(

Hate to see the outside damages but it can always be worse.

Hope everyone is safe and warm.

Hello from San Antonio

Blessed to have water and electricity! I hope all are well.

SWM, 51, Professional if any ladies are looking to chat.

Have a good one

It’s been a rough go this week. Hoping everyone is seeing light at the end of the tunnel and whatever necessary recovery goes well.

Howdy from Lubbock.

Missin' the snow we used to have around these parts this time of year when I was still knee-high on a grasshopper. 50s and 60s this time of year just still feels wrong compared the negative wind chill we used to have, having to go out and bust ice so the animals could get water...

Well, I feel like an asshole for posting that a few weeks ago.

But, seriously. What the actual fuck? Over.

Love and sympathies for those that have lost loved ones in this latest madness. And all the warmest wishes for the sun out of your eyes and the warm winds from the Gulf for a brighter tomorrow.

Great, it's all your fault for missing the snowy days of your youth!

At the bottom of the totem pole for a plumber to fix my no water problem. So nice to see the blue skies and sunshine today. Another night of below freezing temps, but it's warming up!

Stay well and safe.

My shade tree plumbing knowledge was enough to fix the immediate problem so I can wait. But now for the big thaw to see what else may be an issue.

Should be a nice weekend :)

Warming up here in Houston. Nice to see the sun :)

Hope everyone is thawing out today.

Finally back at the RV, the propane heater is struggling a bit to keep up, but have electric blanket and electric heater as back up. not supposed to freeze tonight, so hope all is good. My brother checked out the rV today - no busted pipes or leaks anywhere! so moved back in. Hope everyone is thawing out!

*Pounce* Hey sweet girl! How did you fare this week? You need to come back! :rose:

Eh, we did alright. Power was off and on for a few days. We had 3 full days without water. We managed t o stay warm and hydrated, so I can't complain. How about you?
