The crash in Ft. Worth was just horrible. There was so much ice on my car today and I passed several cars with inches of ice/snow on theirs here in the Hill Country. The roads were so bad I cancelled a visit with my sister.

Worked a 12 Wednesday night and had to drive home at 0630 yesterday morning. It was a white-knuckle situation for about 30 miles. It took me over 2 hours to get home and I saw at least a dozen accidents. I drove my truck in 4A the whole way home, never went above 30mph, and slid around at least twice. Absolutely horrible.

Unfortunately too many Texans have no clue how to drive safely in snow/ice conditions. Such conditions don't happen often in many parts of the state, so people just don't have the experience.
Here in Austin, there was a 24 vehicle pileup on TX-45 near FM 620. 8 hours later, there was another 6 vehicle pileup at the exact same spot!
I just stay home.
