What route do you take??? I haven't managed to find a good direction to take from here to see them.

Try US 67 towards Cleburne and then try either Tx 220 toward Hico, Tx 6 to Meridian, then Tx 22 toward Hillsboro, then (if time allows) Tx 171 back towards Cleburne. If running short, hit Hillsboro and take I35 back into the metroplex.
The other route (back to the 'or' of the unfinished either-or statement) is to stay on US 67 to Stephenville then US 377 back.

Thank you!

Thank you!

YW, though it's easy enough to find the backroads.
I've found the IH will get one there quick, but the backroads are where one finds the best scenery, the tastiest food, the weirdest (but generally friendly) folks and the coolest adventures.

Looks like a nice adventure for my day off next week!

Yesterday I just drove down the IH toward Waco, but 1sb is right - when they are at their peak, best to take the backroads. Ennis has a festival in a couple of weeks, and they should be peaking then. They mark their trails with little signs, and they go out and change them every day according to where the best view is that day. If you have a weekday off around then, go then, because there's about a bazillion people out on the weekend plopping their babies down for the mandatory Babies in Bluebonnets photo. A lot of the most beautiful shots you see online are from somewhere on that trail. Mach Road, I think has a really nice field full sometimes. Get a printed off map in case you get lost!

3rd in Bluebonnets Series

Good Morning Texas!!! http://dl.dropbox.com/u/54033193/gifs/smiley-happy020.gif

Here is the 3rd, and last, of my recent bluebonnet photos. A good ole' Texas photo needs to have an rustic fence and gate. Okay, not so much fence in this, and maybe the gate isn't that rustic, but there is a pricky-pear cactus for those who look closely.

Thank you Jenny!
The plus of my internet crash this morning is I got to sit next to a friend at work and she showed me about a daffodil place and the tulips out by Aubrey.

Good Afternoon Texas!
